By the way, the AI IL-76 has been converted to MSFS as a flyable plane. Gets into into the sim for AI assignment at least with some work (converting the aircraft.txt entries to MSFS), but the textures do not need to be converted to PNG.DDS as this is just an FSX port-over: flightsim.to/file/75302/il-76-fsx-portBut so far, it has only drawn enough interest on Flightsim.to for one new MSFS livery: flightsim.to/file/78687/ukrainian-il-76mdCan't wait to be able to explore the retro world and see all these funky planes while flying short "tag-on" routes across the Middle East with the dozens of airlines and aircraft types doing them in the 80s-2000s.

Air Gulf Falcon (Cir. Late 1990's - Early 2000's) Under a few different names and "flags of convenience," Air Gulf Falcon flew a colorful fleet of Boeing aircraft all around the Middle East and Africa. Titan Aero (Cir. Mid-1990's) Based out of Moscow's Vnukovo airport, these guys flew Il-76's and Il-18's on a variety of charters. One of the Il-18's was leased(?) from NPP Mir, based just outside of St. Petersburg. Not sure if this is the same outfit that had An-124's around the same time. Dvin-Avia (Cir. Mid-1990's) For a relatively small country with few large airports, Armenia had quite a number of airlines sprout up in the 1990's. Dvin had Il-76's, An-12's, and a small complement of Yak-40's, all doing something different. One of the Il-76's flew for the United Nations. The An-12's saw action into the deep recesses of Africa. Even the Yak-40's got up to something cool - Right around 1999-2000, they were leased by the Kenyan airline "African Airways International." They more than likely were used to feed PAX to and from NBO from various tourist hot-spots. Paints are done by Dan Reeves and will be on my Google Drive shortly. Aerovista (Cir. Late-90's - Early 2000's)
Company was based out of Sharjah, but used Kyrgyz & Sudan reg'ed aircraft. Leased out planes to all sorts of folks that frequented SHJ, Africa, or the Middle East. Eventually, they got away from operating Eastern-bloc types and traded up to 737's and focused more on PAX charters. FP's are representative, except the one for Expo/Serendib. That one came from another package on the interwebz, but it only clicked once I found out who they leased planes from. Paints are being worked on by Dan Reeves and myself.

I am also getting Air Cess installed. I have found the Freightshifter's repaint package, and the Il-18 model used there is the one by Pavel Hvatkin, converted for Ai use by Tob Gibson. Does that mean Tom Gibson of CalClassic - and if so, is that the Il-18 AI model from CalClassic?

Feel free to use this one or mikeblaze’s Air Cess paints. He did a whole bunch for the CPAI Il-18.

Trans Arabian Air Transport - TAAT (Cir. 1990's) Cargo/Ad-hoc airline hubbed out of Khartoum, Sudan. Started in the mid-80's with leased DC-8's that saw lots of action into Western Europe. Airline got their own 707's in the 1990's. They also leased several An-26's for local flying. This airlines' safety record was not the greatest, with the majority of the 707's seeing some sort of incident throughout the late-90's and early 2000's. Between Jason, shaggy22, and myself, the paints for the 707's are done. I was able to edit Georgios Cigritis' TAAT 707 paint to fit what ST-ALP looked like in the early-90's.
