This is the 1998 project not the 1980s project. 1980s paints are an irrelevant bonus for our 1998 project. We also have no plans to include any models. I'm sorry, but our project will not include anything that you are suggesting and is not up for negotiation and no requests will be taken. I'd also recommend that you please do not harass Brian about his 1983 project either, just let him paint what he feels like. It is a hobby, so take it or leave it, I'm afraid. Feel free to paint youself or finish your 80s project, but we will not be painting anything outside of the 1996-99 timeframe. I'm with you 100%. All your and Brian's work, effort and generous sharing are much admired and appreciated. As you said, it's a hobby and the tools are available for all. We can wish for an "ideal world" where all of our needs would be met by magic (or maybe the work of others) but reality dictates that our choices are limited by what's being freely offered and by what we can contribute ourselves. Harassment only leads to valuable contributors leaving the hobby and only makes our world grayer and duller. Exit runway when able Christian

Oh, then let me ask why people like A or B provided their models for others, when on the other hand everyone is responsible for the wishes they have? Maybe, one should start to think that not everyone can make a perfect repaint or model, no matter how hard they try or that things they don't want to openly talk about are in the way, while yet they find some sort of relief and relaxation in the hobby. To say it clearly, 1989 won't continue for reasons stated, but I'd like to use the available flightplans from the forums to fill up my sim. Shall I or others forget about it, because some think a day has 36+ hours, although time is limited but the person would like to use limited time for pleasure in the sim? I'm looking for the base models at least and I think that with the approval by DWAI it should not be too much to at least share them. We should stop this egoism and be a community that helps. Off Topic closed - back to the initial subject. Kind regards. I am really not sure what about our project is the perfect platform to share the DWAI models on, but again, we have no interest in doing that. If you do, that's fine. Please do that. But remember that nobody here has an obligation to do or share anything, just be grateful for what people do contribute and don't try to push people into work they don't want to do, please. If you wish to share models without consent, I honestly am not the kind of person to care, but I don't want to get in the politics of doing it myself. I'm sorry if that offends you. Please feel free to share any models you wish, I have no problem with that.

Check your pm, this is not a place to get off topic. I quoted what you said in the previous post in this thread, and responded to it so this is surely the place and my post was surely on topic. But like you said, I don't want to get off topic either so there is no need to continue.

Hey guys, now that many airlines have been completed and painters like ranmori, mikeblaze, and others have been hard at work, I will start uploading complete airlines to Avsim. All complete airlines will either include the required textures or have links to them if I do not have permission to share. Continue to check the Flightplans thread for new flightplans, but I will start posting complete airlines here as they are uploaded to Avsim. The original post on the first page has been updated to reflect what is available now and the most recent information. First up completed today is PLUNA! Uploaded to Avsim tonight as "Pluna_1998.zip" with the FAIB 737-200 fleet by Raphael Rodriguez.

Avsim has had a major technical problem and all files uploaded on this page within the last week are corrupted and need to be re-packaged and re-downloaded. This will take many hours over several days to resolve. Uploading new airlines to Avsim will be paused, and I will work to get the old airlines re-uploaded as I have time to. Every upload from Vietnam Airlines on wards is corrupted.
In the meantime, I will soon upload a folder containing all the original textures that were uploaded to Avsim for use with this project. This folder will remain active until all the files are up on Avsim so that all of you following our project may have them. The flightplans may all be found in the link to Google Drive in each post on this Facebook page and are not corrupted.
Stuff happens.

There is a lot of confusion with Avsim right now. I e-mailed someone and was told that if I re-upload VASP, the files would simply go to "VASP_1998.zip" which is uploaded to the library but corrupt and not able to be downloaded. Instead, they added it to the library as "vasp_1998_377478.zip" and kept the corrupt file! I get they have a lot going on right now, so if you want VASP, use that file name, and I have requested all my corrupt files be totally removed from Avsim so I can just start over. Sorry for the mess, but of course this happens right when I start mass-uploading. Lol.
