I come bearing the first of the Union Flag tails. The design is highly detailed, the lines of shading are actually done with dots, similar to Pop Art style. Each one has been drawn on this design. Interestingly, I have located online several "what-if" world tail designs, including a few that were drawn up by the artists but never actually placed into service before BA pulled the plug on the tails in the spring of 1999 (I cannot tell you how much I wish they wouldn't have!). Some of these designs were for an alternate version of the Union Flag which includes the area at the top of the tail painted in blue. I have included the brochure page (unfortunately low resolution) below that shows what these designs looked like, which include the thoughts of the marketing team about using the Union Flag design on other aircraft besides Concorde (this was before the world tails program was ended). I decided to paint up a 767 in this what-if scheme, and I must say I quite like it!

Really good work! alignment must have been a nightmare with the FAIB 767 paintkit lol, and very interesting finding regarding the original Union flag tail logo I kinda enjoy it more than the one that exists today.

That's interesting. Didn't know that the world tails lacked this version. But, isn't the proposed Union Flag in the design more like that used for the Concorde size wise and from the appearance?
Kind regards.

But, isn't the proposed Union Flag in the design more like that used for the Concorde size wise and from the appearance? Yes it is! However, the brochure also mentions that different crops or designs should be used for other airplanes, which I assume is why they came up with the waving flag design for other aircraft. Perhaps they wanted to keep Concorde unique. Here are some 757's, matched to my colors and with a couple of new patterns, Colum and Whale Rider. I have modified the 757 paintkit to have better shading and some more accurate details, to better match the FAIB Boeings for a more cohesive fleet.

Awesome project... and quite a commitment Loving the previews thus far! Thank you for those, and especially digging up the "what-ifs"! One thing I just noticed is that the G-BIK and G-BM registrations were all fitted with the -535C engine and only the (later) G-BP and G-CP regs came equipped with the -535E variant... Looking forward to what comes next Cheers

I am trying to keep them as accurate as possible, so thank you for catching this. It will be corrected before release.
