And here it is, the final part of this Virgin Atlantic paint run: VIR's only A321-200 G-VATH used from mid 2000 to late 2001 to be used on their LHR-ATH route, and was retired from the fleet at the same time as the subsidiary Virgin Sun stopped all flights. I've also done a 747-200 fleet with the same modifications as the -400 fleet, but this time by just having each reg that flew in the 1999 colors. That includes: G-VIBE 'Dancing Queen' (late 1999-late 2001), G-VPUF 'High as a Kite' (early 2000-early 2005), G-VZZZ 'Morning Glory' (late 2000-late 2002), G-VBEE 'Honey Pie' (late 2001), G-VIBE 'Spirit of New-York' (post 09/11/2001 to early 2002), TF-ATN 'Honey Pie' (ex G-VBEE mid 2002-mid 2004), TF-ATW 'Island Lady' (mid 2002-early 2004), G-VSSS 'Island Lady' (ex TF-ATW early 2004-early 2005), G-VBEE 'Honey Pie' (ex TF-ATN mid to late 2004). Hello everyone, I got back from my Christmas holidays a couple days ago and decided to continue my work on the new airline fleet I've started before the Virgin Atlantic paints: Luxair's medium and short-haul fleet circa early 1990's-late 2000's. Today's post is about the 737-400/-500 and -700 fleets, with LGL's fleet beeing small enough for me to decide to include each reg of each type. It goes like this, for the -400: different variations of LX-LGF 'Chateau de Vianden' and LX-LGG 'Chateau de Bourscheid'. For the -500: LX-LGO 'Chateau de Clervaux', LX-LGP 'Chateau de Bourglinster', LX-LGR 'Chateau de Beaufort', LX-LGS 'Chateau de Schengen' and LX-LGN unnamed (with LX-LGO/LGP/LGN in the 90's black titles livery and also blue titles livery, and LX-LGO/LGP in the 2004-2009 livery). For the -700 in the 2004-2009 livery: LX-LGQ 'Chateau de Berg', LX-LGR 'Chateau de Fischbach' and LX-LGS 'Chateau de Senningen'. The next part of the fleet will be the ERJ-135/145 and Fokker 50 fleets. Here are the 737's thumbnails:

And here's the second part of the LGL fleet, with the Fokker 50's circa 1989 to 2005, the ERJ-145's circa late 1998-early 2008 and the pair of ERJ-135 circa early 2005 to mid 2008. Here are the thumbnails:

A little preview of the next fleet to come...I thought that BWIA's 2000's livery would be more complex to recreate but thank god there's some really good pictures with the perfect angles online. Obviously the pair of A340-300 are included, as well as the 737-800 fleet, but I'll also include the MD-83 fleet as some of the 5 operated by BWIA made it well into 2004/2005.

Welp, here it is, the first part of my BWIA work: the A340-300 fleet. It includes the only one to wear the airline's full colors 9Y-TJN with and without the webtiltes, as well as the second one reg 9Y-JIL which was an ex-Virgin Atlantic bird delivered in early 2004 and only wore BWIA's tail logo and fuse titles while keeping a white fuselage and for some reason a "maritime" blue color on the engines. Except the 737-800 and MD-83 fleets to roll-out in 3-4 days. Here's the Airbuses thumbnail:

It's always great to see aircrafts from the Caribbean getting painted, thanks for that, Im guessing the BWIA L1011 is on your list also to be painted

Thanks to Mike who shared with me a copy of the CDAI tristar 500 I'll try to paint the livery as good as I can, especially regarding the age of the model...sometimes I dream about someone or a team in the likes of FSPX showing some love to the more classic planes (even if it's for MSFS at this point, given that most developpers seem to consider the P3D platform as dead) like the Tristar, DC-10, Concorde, Mercure, MD-8x family, A300/A310 (those are because of the lack of public HD sets for the TFS/AIA models)...one can dream lol

And here's the second part of my BWIA fleet, which includes the 737-800 and MD-83 fleets. For the moment I'm not including the pair of Tristar 500's that flew for a couple of years in BWA last colors as the CDAI paintkit is a bit too basic, aka no wireframe nor reg marks for alignment so making the tail logo look good (especially as it bleeds onto the aft fuse) is going to be complicated lol... Anyways, the 737-800 fleet includes 3 fleet representative variations (60th anniversary sticker/no anniversary sticker and webtitles livery) + 9Y-GEO circa 2004-2007 as it seemed like it kept the livery without webtitles as well as the 60th anniversary stickers (that dated back from 2000). The MD-83 pack includes all 3 of those that were kept post-rebranding in 2000 and repainted between 2000 and 2001: 9Y-THR ("screwdriver" tail and has an anti-glare below the windows), 9Y-THQ ("cone" tail) and 9Y-THX ("screwdriver" tail). I'm trying to keep on track of my own "schedule", so the next fleet coming is Eurowings circa early to late 2000's, before their full takeover by DLH, then merger with Germanwings and their total rebranding into...what's Eurowings market now lol? The Lufthansa Group is a mess now and it just looks like they are trying to cut some costs by some shady ways...Lufthansa, Lufthansa Cityline, Lufthansa City (??), Lufthansa Regional, Eurowings, Discover aka ex-Eurowings Discover (i have questions about this one too...). Just very weird to me, but I digress. Here are the BWIA thumbnails:

The Germanwings A319 fleet is progressing well, the with and without engines webtitles, the albinos/hybrids variants are done, but the most important one: the first special livery "Berlin BearBus" is done! Here are a couple more previews:

Soooo it took a bit longer than expected lol, I had a lot going on those last few weeks and when I ended up having more time for painting I wasn't really inspired so I procrastinated a bit...but I really got back into it a week ago and finally, the Eurowings/Germanwings A319 fleets are done! The Eurowings one includes all of the 5 A319 whom originally flew in Eurowings colors between early 1997 and late 2002 when they got transferred into the newly founded Germanwings. The Germanwings pack includes 21 variations, CFM56A/56B engines variations, IAE engines variations, albinos and Lufthansa hybrids/leases but most importantly all of the 7 special logojets painted around 2005-2007: D-AKNO "Bearbus", D-AKNR "Spirit of T-Com", D-AKNS "Spirit of T-Mobile", D-AKNM "Baden-Württemberg" logojet, D-AILN "Spirit of Cologne Bonn", D-AKNI "Hamburg Shopper" and D-AKNF "Park-Inn Hotels" logojet. I'm going right into the GWI A320's next, then back to EWG with the ATR's. Here's the A319's thumbnails:

And here's the GWI A320's. Germanwings had a pretty small A320 fleet between 2002 and 2008, all of them being transferred in and out of Lufthansa's mainline fleet, with only a total of 8 airframes flying in GWI old colors. The airline eventually got a more sizeable fleet of 20/25 A320 by 2013/2014 when it got rebranded along with Eurowings, but there was still a gap between 2008 and 2013 when there was only A319's in it's fleet. Given the small size of this fleet I've included each regs in the pack: D-AIQR, D-AIPC, D-AIPD, D-AIPH (Cologne Bonn Airport spe livery), D-AIPX, D-AKNX (with and without engines webtitles), D-AKNY and D-AKNZ (with and without engines webtitles).
