Ohhhh yes, I completely forgot that some of them were still around in the 2000's and in those colors. They'll eventually pop into my existing TSC fleet at some point ahah

Well, thanks to mikeblaze giving me access to it's VIR 747-400 and A340-300, here's a little "secret" thing that I wanted to make: Virgin Atlantic's fleet in the metallic grey 1999 colors circa 1999 to 2009/2010, mainly including all of the various "slogans" that appeared between 2003 and 2006 and the only 747-400 to wear the original darker livery G-VFAB. The A340-300 fleet will come soon, and I plan on completing those and Michael's fleet with the A340-600 in that livery. Again thanks a lot Mike for allowing me to have fun with those haha! I changed the grey base colors a bit, added some noise in it to try to mimic a bit the metallic side, and found the correct font for the slogans, names and the "Britain's Flag Carrier" titles. Here's the 747-400 fleet thumbnail:

Beautiful! A very distinctive and familiar tail, very sad to see them gone nowadays.

Thank you for those big Virgin birds. While completing the fleet, might you consider to add Hellenic Beauty, their sole A321 they had from Mid-2000 to late-2001 for flying their LHR-ATH route? I have plans made from my Summer 2001 OAG that includes the A321 operations that i am happy to share.

The 2008-2011 one was truly not "it" but honestly the one that is still around today is a very good successor to the 1999 livery in my eyes, especially when you compare it to a lot of rebrandings of the mid/late 2010's.

Will Lady Penelope come?😉 If you're reffering to the 2006 "anniversary" livery I did not plan on making it, this VIR 744 run was only to add some more detail to the basic livery

Oh wow, I completely forgot about that one, I was only aware of the short-lived Virgin Sun era but not of a full-Virgin Atlantic-liveried A321... I'll take a look after the A340's.

I'll maybe try one day when I'll be confident and patient enough to make this kind of livery with the nightmare that is the FAIB paintkit for the 747's

Here's a first preview of the A340-300 fleet, this time I've made some bigger mods: size and height of the Virgin Atlantic titles, reworked a bit the tail logos, of course the grey base is color-matched to the light-grey 747-400's and the names/additional titles have the correct font. Here is G-VBUS circa 2003-2006 wearing one of the most...interesting VIR slogans of that time:

Here's finally the part 2 of my VIR paints, which includes the A340-300 and A340-600 fleets. The -300's saw some slogans exclusive to the type, such as "Virgin seeks travelling companion (s)" and "More experience than our name suggests". The -600's only had one of them "Mine's bigger than your's" was exclusive to G-VSHY as the very first -600 delivered to Virgin, the rest of the fleet only got the "4 engines 4 long haul" slogans. One notable variant is G-VEIL delivered in april of 2004: it was named "Queen of the Skies" with additional titles "Named by Her Majesty The Queen on 7 april 2004 in celebration of the centenary of the Entente Cordiale" on the left side of the nose, and it's french traduction on the right side "Reine des cieux" - "Inauguré par Sa Majesté La Reine le 7 avril 2004 pour célébrer le centenaire de l'Entente Cordiale". That airframe was apparently inaugurated in Toulouse by her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II while she was in France to celebrate the centenary of the Entente Cordiale, a series of accords concluded on the 8th of April 1904 that cemented the French-British diplomatic "friendship" (which when you know the history between those two was a massive feat), appart from those titles the "UK Girl" below the windows was modified to wear a combination of the UK and French flags instead of just the UK one. It got the regular one on by late 2004 though. There's going to be a 3rd and final part to this fleet, with the A321 coming soon as well as a "small" 747-200 fleet (based on the modifications I did on the -400 fleet) to mostly add the TF- regs acquired in the early 2000's that then got re-reg in the UK and kept until mid/late 2005 when there was enough A340-600 to replace some 747-400 on some lines, thus freeing some -400 to replace those -200. Anyways, here's the A340 thumbnails:
