I am outing myself on painting (again), I forgot the under-wing regos on four of the CDN A320s. I will do something else retro with the FAIB A320 in the near future, and will incorporate the update into that future un-named package. Unless you are flying in formation with the AI aircraft or actually putting my textures under a magnifying glass, you probably won't even notice, but I will make it good.

Goodness, that's a lot of 732s of all sorts. I certainly wasn't aware Canadian had that many hybrids. As for the other paints, they're on point as well. And on the topic of the missing wing regs, it's obviously not absolutely dire, but I'm glad you caught that and will be making a fix for the future. There may be lots of bugs, but at least that shows you're at least somewhat human, despite the rate and overall quality of your uploads suggesting otherwise

I did a little more research on the topic, and it was actually Pacific Western who bought out CPC, plus Eastern Provincial and Nordair, to create CDN. CDN hinged the bulk of their future on the North America - Asia routes, but there was a mild 1998 Asian recession that was enough to kill them off in 2000 when acquired by ACA. I will of course have to do the PWA fleet at some point, since they did have a 762 that I found a picture of. Not sure if anybody else has done the PWA 737s for the FAIB models, but I will look into that as well.

The ones on Juergen’s site can be converted for FS9 use. Just use DXTBmp to format the texture and resize/realign the texture in paint.

There are two ways to solve that request. First would be to contact Marc H. directly via pm or email, he's member "mh88" here. The second one is to get DXTBmp and convert the files into DXT3 files. But usually the textures should be usable, as FS9 textures worked on X or even se P3D versions - it was more the animations or the model code that gave headache. DXTBmp is easy to use and conversions of textures can be done quickly. Kind regards.

The ones on Juergen’s site can be converted for FS9 use. Just use DXTBmp to format the texture and resize/realign the texture in paint. DXTbmp is the way to go, it's easy, and painters shouldn't have all of the fun of figuring out freeware, lol. BTW, bitmaps work just fine in FSX/P3D models, but the framerates are a little higher so DDS is preferred. Don't forget to flip texture/alpha in DXTbmp before converting to DDS. DXT5 is the recommended format for FSX/P3D models per Erez Weber, and is what I use for all of my FSX/P3D paints now. The only issue is reducing in size to 1024 textures, I recommend GIMP for people who don't have PSD or PSP, GIMP is free online. It's not a complicated process, but it is totally time-consuming. Pete, I believe Mark H. will also be taking care of the 747/767 BAW world tails for the FAIB models some time this year, I have heard rumblings of that. I wish him the best of luck on that, those are very, very formidable paints to be done on very advanced paint kits. Oh, yeah, if you're still using the dinosaur sim (FS9), import DDS into DXTbmp, flip image/alpha, and save as extended bitmap, you can choose DXT or 32-bit format in that dialogue after you select 'extended bitmap'. I have to email Christian Muenier and see if he'll let me share something he gave me about 15 years ago, and you might see a very slick little utility pop up on AVSIM soon. Lastly, a word to the wise, please get your head moving towards FSX-native and beyond, 99% of FS9 AI is compatible up through P3Dv3, and the next generation of Windows probably won't even support any 32-bit program (just a hunch, but IMHO). Doing dual format painting is a pain, albeit a labor of love, but not sure how long the mainstream painters will offer FS9 textures at this point. The object of the exercise is for the hobby to move forward, not get stuck with one good period of time.

Hi Mike and others,Thank you for the info and I will try and use it.I didn't like FSX and am trying to get P3D.I had a problem on my new P.C regarding Kaspersky password which I couldn't read or use.I have a Chillblast P.C that cost me £2500 and do not want it hacked.I like FS9 and have learnt how to do some things with it I had trouble with flightplan compilation on fsx.

Uploaded a Seagreen Air Transport representative fleet to include 707s and 721s from the 80s/90s, a diverse collection of hybrids with a few "operated for" options. Seagreen leased their aircraft out more than they flew under their own name, and cgold has promised some equally representative FP soon, so these are a few more random freighters plying the US, Europe, and Africa routes.

Mike, what KLM paints do you plan on doing beyond the 747s? I finished the 1998 plans and we can do the 737s and 767 and color match to yours if you have not started yet.

I have full-side masters done for KLM 767s already, and to do the 737s will take very little time. Give me a week or two, and I think I can squeeze them out pretty easily. Not too many variations in the 1990-2000 time frame, so it will be quick work. I have some more Euro 747s on the way as well, I'll keep them under my hat until release... :{ )

I also got Air France+Regionals and British Airways(mainline only) to compile, so your World Tails will have some life soon. Any more plans for Air France? We are going to do the football liveries, most are already done actually. But I know you've started the normal colors.
