Hello. I decided to start this topic in order to ease the search for P3D v4 compatible models for the new user, as well the experienced ones who switched to Prepar3d v4. ORBX has released a new version of the traffic package that contains many models, converted to v4 standards. Another great source are the alpha-india forums, but this requires registration. Please only share links, when you have a written permission from the initial author or designer. Kind regards. Stefan

I take it FSX models are compatible with P3Dv1-3. But what about P3Dv4 and v5? Are these a new class in order to work properly? Should I look for models that specifically say P3Dv4-5 or am I still good with any FSX model? Thx.

Should I look for models that specifically say P3Dv4-5 or am I still good with any FSX model? Thx. Generally speaking, models for FS2002-FS2004 will work in all sims up to P3Dv3, because they are 32-bit applications. Models made for FSX and up will with in FSX-P3Dv3, but often not in FS2002/2004. Models made for anything between FS2002 and P3Dv3 will almost never work in P3Dv4/5 without conversion in Model Converter X. But any model made/converted for P3Dv4 will work in v5 as well, and will most likely end up working in FS2020 down the road. I hope that makes sense. This thread has links to many models and more detailed info
