Brian, I've lately found Facebook groups to be an amazing resource for finding rare photos, or at least getting information. Check out this group: www.facebook.com/groups/679194399649432And another, which is my main resource other than historical Google Earth imagery and airport diagrams to make retro scenery. Lots of rare airline photos in here as well if you browse the albums for each airport. www.facebook.com/groups/296689564789955We're on the same page! I've found many groups that have lots of rare photos. Gary Orlando runs quite a few of the prop groups and I'm always grateful for his contributions! Sadly, this is one of those airlines that doesn't show up anywhere. It's possible it's because the Pipers wore generic colors so no one cared enough to take photos. Sigh

Airline Name: Linjeflyg Country: Sweden Callsign: SWEDLINE IATA/ICAO Code: LF/LIN Aircraft: F28 Notes: Includes a couple dozen representative charters. About half of the livery information is best guess - for some reason, 1983 has a pretty big gap in photos, though it seems like the transition to the newer colors happened pretty quickly. Airline Name: Sun West Airlines Country: United States Callsign: SUN WEST IATA/ICAO Code: KY/SNW Aircraft: BE9, PAG Notes: Another one with no photo available. The Beeches were deliered new to the airline so they likely had their own livery, but who can prove it? The Pipers aren't pressurized so they're limited to FL100, except for some of the mountain destinations, where they're 5000' above the terrain. Download: BRW_SunWestAirlines_Su83.zip Think I may have found a SunWest C99 livery: photovault.com/415121

Airline Name: Air Botswana Country: Botswana Callsign: BOTSWANA IATA/ICAO Code: BP/BOT Aircraft: DC3, F27 Notes: Air Botswana's Fokkers were based at Johannesburg, likely due to the lack of overnight ramp space at Gaborone Notwane. The larger Sir Seretse Khama International, located to the north, opened in 1984. The University of Botswana sits on the former location. DC-3s were leased from Comair South Africa for the domestic services. Download: BRW_AirBotswana_Su83.zip

Airline Name: Affretair Country: Zimbabwe Callsign: AFRO IATA/ICAO Code: ZL/AFM Aircraft: D8F Notes: Originally established to skirt UN sanctions against Rhodesia by operating as a Gabonese company based at Libreville. Gabon-registered DC-7s flew Rhodesian cattle to Libreville, where they'd be loaded onto Affretair DC-8s for transport to Europe. By 1983, operations had returned to Harare and the airline was integrated into Air Zimbabwe. Download: BRW_Affretair_Su83.zip
