Airline Name: Iran Air Country: Iran Callsign: IRANAIR IATA/ICAO Code: IR/IRA Aircraft: 747, 74L, AB3, 707, 72S, 727, 73S Notes: Between the Revolution and the Iran/Iraq war, Iran Air was a shell of its former self. Added numerous Jeddah Hajj charters and flights to Kish Island. There's still a lot of slack in the fleet - I left it that way rather than compacting the flights into fewer aircraft. It's a more accurate representation. I suspect some aircraft didn't move for weeks on end. Download: BRW_IranAir_Su83.zip747 74L AB3 707 72S(red)/727(blue)/73S(black)

Airline Name: Atlantic Air Country: United States Callsign: IATA/ICAO Code: 4A/GAA Aircraft: PAG Notes: Very few photos of their aircraft, though enough to say they were all in old Comair or Comair-esque burgundy colors. Added a couple dozen flights to keep the aircraft moving on the weekends. Airline became Business Express about a year later. Download: BRW_AtlanticAir_Su83.zip

Just out of curiosity, in '83 were the Frontier C580s and Twin Otters broken out into a Frontier Commuter operation?

Just out of curiosity, in '83 were the Frontier C580s and Twin Otters broken out into a Frontier Commuter operation? Neither existed at the time. The Convairs were gone by 1982. The Frontier Commuter ops started in October 83, though the Convairs were operated by Combs. The Twin Otters, while operate by Frontier proper, were gone by 1980.

Hey Brian, are there any more Canadian flightplans on the back burner? Just curious if you have Nordair and Eastern Provincial.

Hey Brian, are there any more Canadian flightplans on the back burner? Just curious if you have Nordair and Eastern Provincial. At some point, yes though most Canadian carriers are problematic. By this point, CP Air and EPA were tied together schedule-wise, using CP aircraft on some EPA routes and vice versa. EPA also had just come out of a strike so their schedules are a bit of a mess. Nordair and Pacific Western are better (ish) but still need some manual work and lots of charters added. PWA charters were probably 50% of their business. Fun fact - Nordair operated YMX-MIA for El Al. The 737 was stationed at YMX so any connecting passengers walked off the El Al 747 and onto the Nordair aircraft, no need to even go into the terminal. Same in the reverse. If you are planning on Dan Air, I noticed something interesting for their Boeing 727-200 aircraft G-BHVT. Apparently she was leased to Lacsa - Lineas Aereas de Costa Rica from 1981 to April 1983 and again from October 1983 until April 1984. That would mean that in the short time she was back with Dan Air she sported basic Lacsa livery with Dan Air title. Just thought I'd let you know. Thanks! Dan-Air is another one of those carriers that needs a lot of work. At the time, they had around 50 aircraft in the fleet, but I need less than 20 for their scheduled ops. Every other aircraft was flying charters.

Curious about Scandinavian and Scanair, guessing they’re probably a mess considering they haven’t been done yet, as well as Swissair. Also, any plans for Aeroflot, or is that just massive and still in the works?

Curious about Scandinavian and Scanair, guessing they’re probably a mess considering they haven’t been done yet, as well as Swissair. Also, any plans for Aeroflot, or is that just massive and still in the works? SAS isn't bad but there's still a lot of charters to add. Scanair handled most of the sun charters and SAS did everything else. There's also some crossover with the A300s that I haven't figured out. Swissair is on my nuts list. Almost every flight is listed as GVA-ZRH-XYZ or ZRH-GVA-XYZ, but in reality, the GVA-ZRH sector was usually only one aircraft that then connected to all the other longhaul flights. It should be easy to pick them out, same departure/arrival time and aircraft type, OR SO YOU'D THINK. There seems to be many times that the flights were indeed duplicated but figuring that part out has got me going crazy. Every couple months or so, I give it another try and always end up cursing the Swiss.
