Trans American Charter 1994 is finished. At the time of the plans, the airline flew an ex-Midway DC-9-30 on behalf of the American baseball team the "Florida Marlins" and it was based out of FLL. The airline also flew for the Miami heat for their 1994/5 season before they went under. These plans are based on the Marlin's 1994 schedule, with the plane sitting 1 day in each city as baseball games are usually played in a series of 2-4 games and this plane would not be visiting many airports. Right! I'll add that in, I forgot all about that. Tom Norwood's Deregulation Knock Outs Round II is in storage, I'll pick it up after work tomorrow. It had pretty good info about each of the start ups in the 90s including fleet list with tailnumbers and dates, IATA/ICAO codes, and callsigns for most. I remember the Bae-146 being in that book along with enough to go off of for some plausible routes for it to be flying. I'd say anyone on these boards must have both of his Deregulation Knockout books, the first one covers the jet start ups from 1978-1990 that failed by the mid 90s. The info he gathered on each airline along with color pictures is great for our purposes, and good information in general.
I'm learning a lot making these plans and picking the brains of people who remember them. By the way, what program do you guys recommend for generating flight plans off a schedule? "AI Flightplanner" is great for representative plans, but was a royal pain for Sierra Expressway's '95 schedule and took me much longer than it should have.

As far as the era goes, I will be doing 60s-80s plans down the road as well once my 90s-2000s sims are looking good and the eras are well represented.

AvAtlantic 1995, yet another 727 charter outfit, and yet another South-Florida/FLL-based operation. These plans simulate the 727-100 flying out and backs from FLL to the Caribbean and most of the 727-200s doing mostly East Coast to FLL/MIA/SFB charters with ferry flights in between East Coast cities. Also, one 727-200 simulates Bob Dole's 1996 presidential campaign and flies across the country based on information I could find on his '95 tour. While there aren't many planes in the fleet, there are a few different variations and they visit many cities for at least a few hours so will hopefully populate some of the more deserted airports in the 90s skies.

Here's a good one and my project for today: Rich International Airways 1995. From what I could gather, by 1995 RIA had 14 L-1011-300s, 1 L-1011-500, 3 DC-8-62s, and a lone DC-8-63. They flew a wide range of services including Hawaiian public charters from HNL/OGG-SFO/LAX/LAS/SMF, FLL/MIA to the East Coast, Europe, and the Carribean, a few routes from Vegas, Canada, and within Europe, as well as military charters in Europe(mostly Germany) and the Pacific. These plans will add civilian traffic to some military bases as well as heavy jets at Berlin-Templehoff and St. Maarten. Expect to see these guys all over the place! This was the peak of RIA's success, they were shut down in 1996 by admitted over-reactions by the FAA to minor maintenance issues as the Valujet crash brought heavy scrutiny on start-ups and charter outfits. The fleet was mostly retired to ROW, but it is possible that one L-1011 is still in full colors rotting away in Saudi Arabia. Repaints for at least the L-1011-300 but most likely the DC-8s as well are available in RIA's old livery. Repaints are still needed for the final livery which most of the fleet was wearing by 1995.

You're right, I can't find it anywhere. Well, best I can offer is if you or anyone else outside the USA finds a cheap copy on ebay or Amazon, I would not mind at all ordering it and shipping it for you so long as you pay for it. It's the least I can do for you guys, plus most of my airline pilot friends have 75% discounts with FedEx so shipping won't be bad if I have one of them drop it off.

Just to let you know guys, I did flight plans for Pan Am from the 1997 timetable from departed flights. I did these really quick while flying a 747 from Palma de Mallorca to Birmingham.

Anyways, thank you! I still have several (crappy) repaints I completed in the mid 2000s but never uploaded, such as several Skywest Metroliner hybrid liveries. I'll have to get on to that stuff as well. As far as the era goes, I will be doing 60s-80s plans down the road as well once my 90s-2000s sims are looking good and the eras are well represented. A bit late, but I'd take them without aircraft.cfg entries and in 32bit format, however awful they may be.
