Hi All.
I have some 1980's Air Inter plans so I guess I'll make to make an AI model of the Mercure in the future. Nothing fancy as there were only 11 in service, so no point in waisting to much time and energy on it. Never managed to fly on one. All my Air Inter flights were A300's or SE.210-12B's (better than the A300!!).

Hi Michael,
I painted the AF 727; it's AI Aardvark, and I also have a 707, A-300, and 737. The 747 and Concorde that I'm using are done by someone else, although I'm wanting to finish the old scheme on an Aardvark 747-200.
It's my intent to post my textures to AVSIM as I get ready to submit my 1977 flightplans to RetroAI.
Take care, Kurt

Hi Kurt, at the moment I'm using the AIA 727 in the current AF-livery which is quite O.K. for Air France in the late 70s - at that time they started to paint their 727s in the new colours. It would be very nice to have your "old" 727-textures in order to mix up the 727-fleet. So here's somebody waiting for your upload to avsim... I also have the AF-707 from "CalClassic" - but where did you find the A300 and the 747? Kind regards Michael

The flyable Mercure can be found at FS Planet. The Mercure is one reason I wanted to code this timetable. I love the obscure planes. Andy It's also on flightsim.com - for future reference, advertising FS Planet is kind of frowned upon here and over in Tom's forum - they're basically thieves, IMO, who steal other people's files and put them up for their own profit and don't give any of us a share. Everything I have ever released since they came around has a boldfaced admonition in the readme not to upload to that site - yet somehow my Northeast DC-6B repaint made it on there, and has not been removed per my request. Basically, our attitude is to ignore the site's existence - they have violated the trust of many freeware designers and don't deserve promotion, IMO. I had done a search on flightsim.com for "mercure" which came up empty for FS9 models. I just tried it again and you are right, it's there. I must have misspelled it earlier. For reference, I was not "advertising" FS Planet. I was merely stating a fact. At the time, I thought that was the only place it was available. I'll try not to mention them again if it is going to ruffle feathers. But I was not "advertizing" them. Andy

Hey Michael,
The A300 is Dee's model. The 747 is in the newer colors and is the Aardvark GE model; one of my goals is to paint the older colors on the PW version.
I didn't realize Cal Classic already had the Air France, so I'd painted up Dee's 707. I think my 737 is Aardvark, also. There's only two of those, on the Carribean routes.
Take care, Kurt

Oh, it's no big deal for me - they only stole one of my repaints (and I think they got the uncorrected one at that - lol!) and have seemed to have left me alone since. Others are more sensitive, though. By "advertising" I meant mentioning (probably poor wording on my part, apologies) not that you were a spammer/proponent of theirs. If you were, and I found out - I'd boot you...lol! Just kidding - that could be such a good site if they just afforded the proper respect to the authors. Flightsim.com has a pay option - which some freeware authors don't like - but nothing usually appears on the site that wasn't uploaded by the author, or if something does (which is rare), Nels and his team will pull it immediately at the author's request.
It was just a "heads-up" that FSPlanet is kind of a sore spot with some - just so you didn't wonder why you might get jumped one day for seemingly no reason. Although, usually when I catch the non-good-natured attacks (not me, Jason, Ductape - that's all in jest) - I delete them ASAP. Fun is fun, and I welcome that.
