Maybe you can check your Syrian air out if it is not green and if it is not can you send me the whole aircraft and model. My thinking is he painted from the first model and I have a later model version maybe someone has the original Caravlle mode still. Because I have version 2. Just checked my Syrianair Caravelle - and YES - it has also got a green windshield plus green engine intakes... Anybody know what causes this effect? Michael

Early alpha coding used that bright green as the transparent color. The problem arose when the newer coding came in with FS9, which displays the bright green instead of the transparent level. The likely solution is to use DXT2BMP and remove the alpha channel from the texture. I can't guarantee that will solve it on the Caravelle, as I haven't tried it yet, but I ran into the same thing with the Metro and that fixed it.

Hi,
The Air France Caravelle is up on AVSIM. It's Dee's aircraft with my painting.
Best regards, Kurt

Thanks Kurt! Any chance of an Air Inter paint for the Caravelle since my flight plans should be coming out soon?

Hi Andy,
I could do one, as long as there are pictures available (I'm SURE Airliners.net has plenty. What year is your timetable?
Take care, Kurt

Hi,
Looks like you'll want the older of the two schemes, right?
Take care, Kurt

Air Inter, 1975 begs a question - the Dassault Mercure? According to my info, Air Inter put this plane into service in late 1974 and it lasted until the 1990s. It's an obscure plane, only Air Inter flew it - it was frankly a badly-thought idea, it was more or less a 737-800 with maybe a quarter of the range - it couldn't even make 1,000 miles. Dassault envisioned it as a short-range airliner perfect for Europe, but nobody but Air Inter bought it. There's no AI model, there is a flyable one - it's kind of forgotten, probably with good reason, as it really was a poor design for the world market. A good plane for 500 miles, but otherwise a poor performer.

The flyable Mercure can be found at FS Planet. The Mercure is one reason I wanted to code this timetable. I love the obscure planes.

Andy It's also on flightsim.com - for future reference, advertising FS Planet is kind of frowned upon here and over in Tom's forum - they're basically thieves, IMO, who steal other people's files and put them up for their own profit and don't give any of us a share. Everything I have ever released since they came around has a boldfaced admonition in the readme not to upload to that site - yet somehow my Northeast DC-6B repaint made it on there, and has not been removed per my request. Basically, our attitude is to ignore the site's existence - they have violated the trust of many freeware designers and don't deserve promotion, IMO.

Good Morning,
I'll get to work on that Air Inter and try to have it done over the next week. Last night it occured to me they had Mercure's and it will be fun to have those - I'm looking forward to loading your flightplans.
Take care, Kurt

Hi Kurt,
looking forward to your Air Inter Caravelle!
One question concerning your Air France-Caravelle - or should I say: concerning the 727 in the background of the avsim-screenshot... The 727 is also wearing the old AF-livery. Is this an Aardvark-model??? If yes, where can I find the textures? I only have the new colours for the AIA-727.
Kind regards
Michael
