Several new schedules will be on the site later today. Apparently, the scheduling of QX flights desinged to keep Jason awake has been productive, as he has offered us Pan Am, Aeronaves de Mexico, Mexicana, and Dominicana, all from 1957. Manuel Jagmann has given us Alitalia and JAL from 1959, and Tom Gibson has given us Braniff 1959 and Hawaiian 1965. Bob Hughes has worked up Royal Air Inter 1981 and Raul Moino has completed Olympic 1976 - look for all of these updates over the weekend and many thanks to the creators - the propliner era is looking very nice - if you want to party like it's 1959, you're going to have some serious prop action going on! Oh yean, and I'm programming myself - Avianca '75 is in the works.

A taste: Avianca 727-100 poised for takeoff from Bogota, one of the several repaints I will have worked up for the schedule.

Oh Ho!! You and DT in Cahoots now? I knew it was a plot... You have Avianca '75, I have Avianca '57...Soon, young Jedi, Soon... And how do you fall in a Fridge? I normally wear my "goth boots" (black cowboy boots with stud and chain straps) which slide real well on the polished concrete of our break area, but Tuesday I was wearing wingtips with a rubbery sole that doesn't slide. Well, my right foot stopped on the concrete and I tumbled forward, coming down on my right knee, then my right thigh, and finally I rolled right into one of the refrigerators people keep their lunch in and moved it about an inch or so when all of my 5'10" 180-pound frame slammed into it. For a fraction of a second, I thought I was a dead man when I felt that thing move, then I remembered that refrigerators are bottom-heavy and don't fall over from a low blow. Made quite the impression, as I had stopped by the break area to grab a soda on the way to an important meeting with the heads of my division who were up from Austin. But, they couldn't razz me too much, as the head of my division had IMed me from the parking lot ay 7:30 in the morning (I've somehow become the local lead through no fault of my own) as he wasn't sure which of the two buildings he was supposed to go to. It's easy - if you see bubbly blonde girls bouncing through the door, that would be sales. You see a bunch of guys with an econo-size Mountain Dew in hand, who don't look like they've had a date since 1985 and are mumbling about Star Wars, that's the tech department. I kid, actually a lot of us are spoken for, but we do have a guy that has his Star Fleet draft notice posted on the wall of his cube... The Mountain Dew is no joke, though - the entire IT world is fueled on Mountain Dew and Little Caesar's Pizza.

Not even a "Barley Pop" at that... Jason: I think the other day some of my old buddies from my USAF days sent 2 F-15's over your way at full throttle with afterburners lit. I know sometimes while I am working on the hanger roof and they do that, I have to check my shorts.... So I know that has to be good for getting the pulse up and able to make flight plans, long into the night....

Our soda machines are all a Coca-Cola enterprise, so no Mountain Dew, we have to bring that in from the outside - but they do have Vault, which should be called Vile, because that's what it is. Energy drinks do nothing for me, I really prefer tea - Arizona Green Tea with Plum Juice, that I drink a lot of. And no pizza, either - I'm a sishi hound. There's this weird breed of tech - and we blame the Northwest for spawing them, as we've traced it to Redmond and Microsoft - that lives on coffee, tea and sushi. Somehow, despite being an Oklahoman, I became one of those.

Not even a "Barley Pop" at that... I live in Oklahoma, we don't have real beer here - well, not unless you want to buy it warm from the liquor store. What they sell in grocery's and convenience stores is 3.2% - basically beer-flavored water. What's funny about that it's "non-intoxicating" under state law - yet you can be arrested for driving after drinking this "non-intoxicating" beverage or even having an open container of it in your car. But, again, it's "non-intoxicating" - the same as a soda under the law, but not...we're a weird place. It's also sold on election days when the liquor stores are closed and outside the hours liquor stores can operate. It's even sold on Sundays, when liquor stores have to close. And if this weirdness isn't enough, a few years ago, some dimwit legislator managed to ram through a law that bans sales of this - again, "non-intoxicating" - beverage betweem 2 and 6 in the morning. The reason? She learned that DUI busts went up sharply after 2 - it must be people buying "barley pop" at the 7-11 at 2 in the morning, right? Of course not, DUI busts go up after 2 because the bars close at 2 - d'oh! Every cop in the state was saying the law was pointless because of that, but it still passed. That's Oklahoma for you - one of the last states to ban cockfighting and the very last to legalize tattooing.

Maybe he meant "over the NEXT weekend". That's why I never give dates anymore - I just say "soon" or "in the next month or so". Even so, I've been proven wrong a few times... Take care,
