Hi all,
I just found some nice retro DC-10s over at EvolveAI: Especially the Finnair and the Iberia "tenners" should be a great addition to the retro-AI-world - although the Iberia aircraft is not wearing the 70s-livery.
There is also a new EVAI Lufthansa DC-10-30 - but unfortunately this model was also not painted in the real retro colours.

Hi Michael. Also found the "pineapple" and Western birds. Saves me a job as this is something that needs to be done to retire all the old FSP birds. Hawaii Express and Western have now been replaced in my AI with the above. Paul  |

Michael I'm a big fan as well - a decade ago, I lived in Tulsa, right under the approach path to runway 36R, about 4 miles south of the threshold. Many a night, from around dusk until about Midnight, the DC-10's made their way right over my roof on their way to American's maintenance base at KTUL. They'd come over low enough that you could distinctly hear the gear and flap cycles. AA still had a good fleet of DC-10s and MD-11s back then, so I saw a lot of them - plus AA had leased DC-10s to Hawaiian and Transaero (Russia) - so those planes showed up as well. |

Hi all, glad to see that people like the retro DC10's I painted up- more are coming. Just a matter of when I can get them finished.
@michael- which Lufthansa retro livery are you looking for?

Can someone make these paints for the FSpainters model too? The Evolve model is much better than the FSP model, that is why Jason and I have concentrated our efforts on it. If you haven't upgraded yet, I would suggest taking a look at it and seeing what you think. |

Hi Michael, The livery you linked to is on my list of things to do, but unfortunately it may be a while as I am still trying to get a decent bare-metal texture going. So far my efforts have been unworthy of further use. |
