I didn't join in on the colour-issue but I do want to join the THANK YOUs!!! Thanks for all the great paints! Whatever the dispute is - you guys are so close to reality! Sometimes I can't even believe all this retro-business is really going on. A few years ago who would have thought we'd have so many classic props and jets flying around in our AI-worlds? It brings back so many fond memories when I see those retro-birds at my favourite airports! So once more: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU very much!!! (O.K. this was 3 times... but it just had to be said!) Kind regards Michael

Hey all,
Don't make me jump in here and be the Administrator and all - I just got back from a trip and a long day and I am *not* in the mood. I'll warn you in advance - I'm Scottish *and* a natural redhead, so you can imagine what my temper can be like if I lose it... ;D If you don't like a given repaint, cool - just change it up. I open up textures with DXTBMP all the time and modify them for my personal use - repainting isn't hard, modifying is even easier. No reasons here to get into any ugly debates - constructive criticism is fine, I welcome it with my own work, but let's keep it there.

My apologies, Kristopher. BTW, I may be in East Kilbride later this year. Any chance you live near there or Glasgow? Not unless I get a vacation - I was born and live in the U.S., but I'm of Scottish descent - northern area, near Aberdeen, is the ancestral home.

Jason.
Still have not found my scanner drivers CD so I'm going to do a search of the HP site and hope I can find what I want.
I'll post the BCA pic ASAP.

Jason,
I'm really sorry to hear that! You are such a great painter!
It's a real shame some people always have to criticize the work of freeware artists. Why not just take it or leave it? The only thing that happens is that these great contributors to the community quit the hobby. It went the same way with ai-aardvark and other people before that.
I've said this before in this thread - and I will say it again: Thank you very much, Jason, for your great repaints!
Kind regards!
Michael

Jason: I´ve got some UTA FP´s from the mid and end 80´s (one is from the year the DC-10 was lost) and am in need for their 747´s. As you did the entire DC-10 Fleet I´d appreciate it if you could consider doing the 747 Fleet (2 747-200 and -300 and one -200F). Also, could you consider doing Air Afrique´s DC-8, DC-10 and A300b4´s? Please help, as there are otherwise no really good AI Aircraft available. Kind regards. -STEFAN-SUN_KING-

Hi. Yes, that´s true. But, I don´t really like the fsp 747 compared with the AIA - same goes with the DC-10. That´s why I hope some one can help me on this issue. As I really like the UTA paints. Kind regards. -STEFAN-SUN_KING-

Aside from the fact that the EVAI DC-10 model looks better, the even bigger problem is that the FSP DC-10 model doesn't have LODs and eats fps big time.

Thank you, I forgot to mention this. But, you´re right about the fsp´s. They infact have a real impact on the FPS in Flight Sim. Also, they´re a bit out of date.
Kind regards.
