Hi there. First of all congrats to your new website/forum. I´m pleased to know your page. In the moment I´m in the progress (better said: was) in changing my entire AI Traffic, for yours. And it´s great, though a lot of work for a student, but it´s worth it Thnx a lot But I´ve got 2 Issue´s: 1st. I wanted to ask if anyone had the Callsigns for those old airlines, like e.g. NAL, PAA and so on, for Edit Voice Pack. If yes could you send it to me or even better publish them on the Web-site?? It´s not so nice to not hear: "...103, you are cleared to land." but would be more real like this: "Clipper103, you are cleared to land". I hope you understand and don´t get mad at me. 2nd. I reworked my DC-10 Texture´s for the NAL Pack, released earlier this year. it was an issue with the Font and with the partly grey belly. Regards. -STEFAN-SUNKING-

Those callsigns are available via a normal update of EditVoicePack - I've had them since FS 2002. What you have to do to hear them, however is edit the atc_airline= section to reflect the airline. This is straight from the aircraft.cfgs that I know work:
atc_airline=Clipper atc_airline=National
I've done my own EditVoicePack mods for Clear Lake City, Amon Carter, and Ocean Station November to know it works, as long as you are specific - I hear Pan Am and National calls just as they should be, so check the aircraft.cfgs and make sure they match up with how the arlines are listed in the voice pack. The reason we don't offer them on the site, BTW, is due to copyright issues. I will offer up mods we have made, but not those done outside RAI - the creator of EditVoicePack does a good job updating and maintaining the mods that are out there - you should have no problems with most older callsigns like Pan Am or National by updating the program and assigning the callsigns in the aircraft.cfg files. I will be offering a few files - like Northeast (UK), which was "Norjet" and hasn't appeared yet in an EVP update, but I'll also be offering it to them for inclusion in their updates.

Hi Stefan. I have done a lot of voice packs for missing RetroAi. Not all of them as it can be a real bind sometimes getting them to sound right. If you are missing any specific airlines let me know and I'll see if I have them or can do them for us. Paul

Hi Jetstar.
Thanks for your offer. The first Airlines I can think of would be National Airlines, Pan Am, Eastern, Western, Air Florida, World, TWA and Peoplexpress.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

Hi Stefan. If you have edit voicepack installed then you should have all of those. Make sure that you do an update and then update your FS voice files. For your info:- TWA = T.W.A National Airlines = National Pan Am = Clipper Eastern = Eastern Western = Western Air Florida = Palm World = World Peoplexpress = Peoplexpress (even though I remember them just using People!). As I said I'm sure that these are part of Edit Voicepack. Paul

Hi KLM 617.
I think I have both of them. Jet America was the first voice pack that I made and I think I have Empire as well. I'll check tonight.
Please send me a private message with your email and I'll send what I have to you.

Hi KLM617.
Empire seems to be part of the standard Edit Voice Pack.
I can send you both if you send me a PM.

Hi Stefan.
I have had problems in the past with mainly the ATC not using the call sign but the AI plane does. This was due to some sort of corruption of the voice pack files. I never sussed out what it was but by using the instructions with EVP I deleted the old files and installed the originals from the CD and then updated it with EVP. This cured my problem but Yours may not be the same. If its certain airlines that are missing, post a list and I'll see if I have them or can make them for you.
I have some more retro one to make when I get around to using the Sim again anyway. Tee Air is one of them!!

Hi,
Sometimes missing voices for a given callsign (i.e. the plane says it but ATC doesn't) is due to the creator not copying the callsign to all the voices. You can check/repair this yourself in EVP.
Hope this helps,
