first post here, but have been using your traffic packages for a while now (great work BTW), and was wondering, does anyone have a list, or database, or something for scenery for the 70's or 80's time period? I have found the FS2000 Stapleton, and Tom Gibson mentions an 80's Atlanta, but I have been unable to locate it, and would also like to find other airports for the late 70's/early 80's time period. thanks in advance Ross

Hello and welcome! To the best of my knowledge, there is no "central" list of retro airports. I know there are some retro scenery of Paris airports: Orly 1963, Le Bourget 1960 (both on flightsim.com) and Charles de Gaulle 1974 (from fsfrance.com, but their site is down for upgrade). There's a 1979 Atlanta on flightsim.com as well - search fs2004 scenery for "atlanta"; I'm actually surprised that no one has come up with a retro JFK or KMIA yet. Exit runway when able Christian ps: of course, I make no mention of current works in progress

A JFK AFCAD is in the works, but there will be no retro construction - that will be up to whomever wants to take that on. Tom's site - www.calclassic.com does have many retro airports in the "scenery" section. And, we do have a 1975 KMSP AFCAD and a backdated Austin-Mueller scenery on our site. The FS 2004 1979 Atlanta is a rebuilding of the old terminal, it does not have a matching retro AFCAD or excludes to remove the default Atlanta scenery. I am working on an AFCAD that does this - it's actually complete, I just haven't put it out because I'm adding in the Eastern hangar and other airport buildings not in the retro scenery. I'm in St. Louis this morning, on my way back to Oklahoma City, where I will again have access to all my projects. Also included in those are a 1975 St. Louis and Pittsburgh, and AFCADs for Jacksonville-Imeson (pre-1967) and Kansas City Fairfax (TWA's main maintenance base until the 1960's). And there is some word about a retro O'Hare to go with my project backdating the city of Chicago to the 1960's, but that's all I will say about that for now And since I will be moving my desktops with me on the return to Chicago (I'm still quasi-maintaining two residences, ugh!), I will be able to provide these files to other developers as well as work on them myself. My commitment to finishing the site rebuild plus outside projects in the art community of Chicago (keep your eyes on the Tribune and especially the Oak Park Journal, you'll be seeing me in there - in a good way, not the police blotter ;D ) - and I suddenly had to move to Berwyn because the sub-lease on my flat in Oak Park ended unexpectedly, so now I'm dodging the occasional volley of gunfire and cleaning the beer cans off the lawn left there by the local, um, gentlemen, who can do without people raising their property values - it's Cook County, the crappier you keep things, the less taxes you pay ;D

It's a great start... I saw your stuff, Tom, and am quite impressed, just didn't know how the propliner stuff would work in the 78-84 time period with DC-9s and early 737s and the like...
thanks for the help!

Hi. Welcome to RAI. This one should also interest you: www.dmflightsim.co.uk/egcc.htmIt´s a Manchester Scenery, which can be used until about 1990. Kind regards. -STEFAN-SUN_KING-

Hi, No, most of my stuff doesn't work with jets - no jetways and planes making terminal turns doesn't look like the 80's.

ahhh .. yeah, I'm too young to go too much farther back, first ride was on a bright orange Braniff 727 back in '78 at the ripe age of 4 man do I miss the colors!!! todays airlines seem so drab by comparison thanks for the brit links guys I'll check them out! Dunno how Washington National looked in the 80's (never been there actually), but here is a screenie I did with traffic files from here: www2.fsliners.net/open/0007287/LI really do appreciate what you guys do, and thanks a bunch!
