What I'll probably do is allow 45 minutes for the tech stop going in both directions (probably easier done going eastbound than west)
TWA also flew to HNL via SFO and LAX, with a 45 minute connection for passengers and bags (TW 443 connecting to TW745)

I suppose I could check flight time from STL to SFO in a 707 as TWA probably did that and then check SFO to HNL in a 707 as Pan Am probably did that. Adding these two together and subtracting it from the 1-stop flight time given for AA 151 STL-HNL would be the layover time.
I'm not really sure it's going to make a great deal of difference in the grand scheme of things. Forty-five minutes is almost certainly going to be correct within a quarter-hour. I've done this many times in my FPs, especially on my Air Canada plans.
