Just saying 'hello', and maybe add a little about myself.
My interest in aviation started, with my first flight in a BEA Airtours DH Comet 4B. Following this, my Dad would often take me to Birmingham (EGBB) airport. I continued to spend far too much of my youth there. I am currently building a version of FS9 to (loosely) represent the mid 70's to 80's. Your site has been of invaluable help and I would like to thank all involved. I realise that there will never be a complete library, for the time period in which I'm interested, but I have been unable to find much for KLM form this time. Any pointers would be appreciated. Unfortunately, I've never learned to paint flightsim models, but hope my knowledge might be of some help.
Regards
Kevin

Welcome aboard, Kevin! re KLM: I'm quite surprised that we haven't got anything from that period, esp. since I've got KLM '73 on my FS9. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where I got them from (and I'm sure I didn't make them) so I can't submit them. However, just p.m. me your e-mail and I'll e-mail them to you Exit runway when able Christian

It's not where it's supposed to be - an error I caught while doing the new 1970's page. It's below the "L" listings - between Lufthansa and Mackey. I'm not going to change it since it is in the correct place on the new page, and that's going to be ready to go soon. Bob Hughes did the FPs. A good number of the needed planes are already available on Avsim, but one or two are missing - The DAT CV-440 I know is one, as I was working on a repaint but shelved it when I moved.

Thanks for the welcome Sorry, I should have been a bit more clear. It's repaints that I'm having trouble finding. So far only a dead link for a DC-9-30 for KLM. I'd like to find 747, DC-10, A310 and DC-8. Thanks again Kevin

Thanks again Kevin This goes for a great many airlines - you have to dig around on Avsim to find a lot of planes. They are not always named logically - the hard one for many to find was a few repaints of the CDAI L-1011, and it was because they were searching logically, under "L-1011" when, in fact, it was under "L1011". The links on AI Aardvark are intermittent but do not mean the planes no longer exist. What happened was that Avsim reordered their libraries during a time when AIA was not active and they've never been corrected. Hopefully, with our new site, we will have a more accurate and up-to-date list of available repaints. But for now, just ask us and we'll let you know if it's out there - because, between the lot of us, someone either has the plane or knows where it is, provided it does exist.

Thanks for the help guys.
Some that I would really like, are the EVAI DC-10s. I have only the DC-10-30C, and note that the basepacks are no longer available.

FWIW, I just finished KLM 1975, along with repaints for the DC-9-10 and DC-8-55F. I was waiting till I get the "all clear" from Kris before submitting them.
Thanks. RPM.

RPM. I'd just like to say 'thanks' for your your hard work and look forward to incoorporating these models into my sim. I havent learned to paint (yet!), but one of my other hobbies is aviation photography (mostly warbirds at Duxford - with a few from my home base at BHX/EGBB). Some of my 'snaps' can be viewed at homepage.ntlworld.com/k.farnell/Website.htmEveryone is welcome to drop by and have a look. I hope this goes some way toward repaying your warm welcome to this forum. Kind regards Kevin
