Hi all
Strange bug here - which so far I have failed to fix despite many, many attempts.
AI Traffic flying from London - Manchester disappears on descent into EGCC. Sometimes it reappears again and actually lands, sometimes it never does.
I've tried several different ADE files for EGCC and the default scenery, all the same error. Also tried making the flights from LON-MAN faster and slower, no difference. Tried various different aircraft types, all the same. Same problem in P3dv5 and v6 (the only versions I have installed)
Any ideas? My main thought (considering this was the cause of the last few AI bugs I found) is some kind of Comms issue? But what?

I had an issue where my AIG 757's were disappearing at certain viewing distances, most likely the LODs were corrupted. This happened to me after I had tried to remove the landing light ground splash triangles that FS2004 draws, which look really ugly in low visibility, based on the information in this thread: www.avsim.com/forums/topic/265681-landing-lightsand-fog/After restoring the original unmodified .mdl file, all was well. Probably an error on my part. Otherwise, I have not heard of this happening before. |

The aircraft are deleted by the sim, and then occasionally are re-added in for landing |

Might sound stupid, but have you tried to lower the ai sliders?
maybe the sim cannot find a place for the planes and despawn them?

That's a good suggestion as I not tried that before, but I have now, and doesnt make any difference sadly. Also plenty of parking available at the airport. They disappear mid flight, shortly after starting descent into EGCC. Happens to any aircraft arriving about 90 - 80 miles out. I think its something specifically involving EGCC and / or the ADE comms. But as yet cannot figure out what |

If you have on hand some kind of traffic monitoring app, check that it's the flight that disappears, and not just stops displaying. Other avenue of investigation: does this disappearing act always happen over the same spot? If so the problem might not be EGCC or the aircraft... Exit runway when able Christian |

Try cleaning up whatever lies underneath that "Bermuda Triangle" |
