Hey All:
For whatever reason, I can’t get ATC to use “AEROFLOT” and instead they call out the AI by its SU+numerical registration only. This is despite having updated my ATC call sign list with the correct file from Editvoicepack. This happens with all Soviet Aeroflot planes. The other airlines operating Soviet planes are a-okay. Wondering if there’s a trick here.

This might be a shot in the dark, but in AIFP there is an option where you can choose for the planes to use their callsign or registration in ATC communications. Try opening the traffic file with AIFP and see if the registration box is ticked.

During the era of the Soviet Union, Aeroflot used the aircraft's registration mark as a call sign on all domestic routes. For example: 65651, 85007, 86089 and so on. On international flights, Aeroflot used the commonly used call sign: "Aeroflot 1234". The same applies to flight levels. Outside the USSR, ICAO / RVSM FLs were used, inside the USSR - metric. The same goes for China, Mongolia and the DPRK. All these nuances are taken into account in my traffic: inside the USSR, China, Mongolia and North Korea, planes fly by metric flight levels with internal call signs. Abroad - as it was accepted according to ICAO standards.
