Decided I'll start a thread for retro MSFS screenshots unrelated to the development of traffic being tracked in my MSFS thread. Here are a few from a late 90s Concorde arrival into OAK simulating an around-the-world charter on the HNL-OAK leg. The default OAK looks amazing, but most of the gates won't actually fit aircraft. The gates should be mostly full in the early morning as one of the only periods of the day where OAK has good airline variety, but America West, United, and other carriers were scattered about on GA parking. Jetway usage by AI seems hit or miss. Many gates are missing lead-in lines, and the second taxiway off of runway 30 is transparent with markings in dirt only, some bugs to fix. Stuff like that and taxiway signs in the way of everything are common in MSFS, as are having trucks and vans on active taxiways and runways. "Floating" jetways are also common. Several airlines flew A310s between AUH and DXB as a tag-on in 1998, I am working on "missons\adventures" for these flights. Here is "TURKISH 1164 HEAVY", the daily 0200 DXB-AUH departure that flew onto IST as a redye preparing to depart. A nice way to get to fly A310s in the colors of Air France, Maldives, Royal Jordanian, MEA, etc on a short 20-minute hop.

AIG has nothing to do with any of this lol beyond converting some of the models we need to make it work. It isn't working, but that doesn't mean it never will again, it just needs to be solved. Don't worry. But, you do realize you just sent me a link to a thread I made myself telling me you "heard on FS Developer" when it's my own words, then you asked if I knew about it when not only is it my own words, but that info is also in this thread already before you posted. And...you also posted on the FS Developer thread but instead of asking me about it there, you came here and sent me the link LOL! Sorry, I just find this all random as hell and funny. There is another thread full of MSFS info that I created on RAI that is up to date, this one is just for screenshots my friend.

Got this Amerijet 727 to show up where it was supposed to, so I think I know how AIG and Justflight create the traffic injected into the sim on flight plans. Excellent. Excellent. Pretty busy but will eventually make a tutorial once I have a good set up going in my own sim. So it won't be some stupid proprietary secret being smothered by gate keepers for too much longer LOL. (But since AIG's AI Traffic Controller update will supposedly make the existing .bgl files work in MSFS, this method isn't recommended unless you want to make some kind of traffic software since we'll have a more traditional way to get traffic).

I still can't figure out how to get the JustFlight traffic to load up. I added the retro models and repaints needed and did the schedule for 1995 for KRNO and KTVL (very nearby and served by RenoAir and TWA Express/Alpha Air at the time) to test (the airport looks virtually the same as the 90s, gets good FPS with great scenery, good traffic variety back then) while deleting the default traffic and yet nothing loads. Tried a lot of ways, but I heard that others had success so idk. Once the .bgl traffic is back in and the retro traffic is solid, I'll put more effort into something I've been working on with a few people for fantasy modern traffic. MSFS has brought about hundreds of fantasy liveries for TWA, Pan Am, ect and even random stuff like Air Florida or tiny short-lived carriers. Those paints and the MSFS scenery make a great base for a world where TWA has A318s, 717s, and A330s flying today from STL and JFK or Pan Am never sold its traffic rights to Delta and United and was operating the bulk of United's current SFO/LAX Pacific flying and Delta's JFK stuff. Depending on the airline, most of it will have to be pre-9/11 and pre-merger to make sense so plans will vary from being based on the 80s, 90s, or 2000s but as modern as possible.
