Hi all. I'm posting if anyone has a solution to this.. the DJC Metroliner III model does not land in both FSX and P3D. I have seen them land at KLAX oddly, but nowhere else. They just go around continuously. Assuming it was a runway length issue I tried extending a runway artificially in ADE but this does not fix the issue. Any ideas what might cause this will be appreciated as it must affect others using this model too..

Booted up the sim and did not have this problem. Is there something on the runway that initiates the go-around?

Booted up the sim and did not have this problem. Is there something on the runway that initiates the go-around? No nothing on the runway. Did you follow one using Super traffic board to it's destination? For instance try klax-kpsp as an example as a short flight |

I used AIFP to find an arrival time (I think it was Lynx International) at MYEF and just waited for it to land. No issues.

Almost any airport except.LAX out west they don't seem to land at.. Where as 737/727 land at the same airports with no issues. |

Check if itself an afcad issue by replacing that metroliner with
the défaut King air. If it's the afcad, it won't land either

Well about 4 months later I've finally been able to find half of the cause of the problem of these DJc Metro's not landing. I tested them at 3 different airports where they didn't land, but they did always land at LAX. All airports had long enough runways. It turns out they won't land at an airport with no Navigation aid information in the ADE file. Given I don't know how to add this to many of these smaller airports they fly too (as they're commuters) still many airports they are not landing at. Does anyone know of an easier fix that may be made to the aircraft itself to allow this? As other types such as Aardvark aircraft are landing at the same airports . Thanks  |

You need to change the "fde" of the Metroliner.
Look at AIG forums for Jan Martin. He has a lot of more realistic "fde's" for a lot of AI aircraft.

Sorry I think I got it all mixed up.
There is no "fde" flight dynamics update of the DJC Metroliner by Jan Martin.
I also did not read that your problem is concerning FSX/P3D, which I do not use.
Since the Metroliner's land very well in my FS9 setup.
But still the easiest way to fix that problem is to change the flight dynamics instead of altering each airport your Metroliners fly to.
Changing flight dynamics is not quite easy but Jan Martin's documents of how to do that is in one of the links I posted earlier in this thread.

Alex Hi Alex Yes sadly editing Fde is not in my area of expertise. I have a lot more experience with Adex so editing the airports is far quicker. Done some testing at Borrego Springs, and from what I can gather, simply adding Arrival, departure and ground Comms fixes the issue and the aircraft then land takes 1 minute to do for each airport affected. |
