This is excellent news - as it possibly slightly increased the chances of some new Beech 99 repaints. Many airlines missing from the 70's and 80's! Is there any place on this forum you know of that has a collection of them?

Todd has made all sorts of great models… Sadly, few are for FS9. :’-( While I understood holding onto FS9 when P3D wouldn't run well for performance reasons, v5 actually runs very well on medium-end PCs (not even close to high-end). My computer was built when I was running FS9, and by today's standards, it is medium-grade but runs P3Dv5 on medium-low settings 30-50FPS with lots of AI pretty much anywhere. They really made it so much more efficient than V1-4, so most FS9 users can probably run it at low settings. Yes, you have to spend 1-2 days of your life re-downloading the 64-bit versions of your models and adding the texture.cfg notepads to each texture folder that uses a PBR model. But you can also retire many of your older models for amazing new ones, take advantage of all the newer stuff you can't have currently, they have a fantastic sim. It's only going to get more left behind, and now that you don't need a crazy expensive PC to upgrade from FSX/FS9, there is no economical reason not to switch now. Yes, you all bought a lot of add-ons for FS9, but pretty much every video/PC game ever made as a franchise requires the same lol. The flight dynamics are so much better too, you'll be blown away by the turbulence and bouncing around, watching AI planes crab into the wind and dip the wings in turb, etc. AI behaves so much more realistically too, no more giant swathes of planes in a Pearl Harb attack formation spawning.

FPS is good but VRAM is the real important factor. I suggest having a minimum of 6gb in order to fly with AI traffic and other assets, and even then some scenery and aircraft bring me past that.
