As far as a modern model goes with PBR and such, only the DWAI model has been converted as such to my knowledge. The JBAI and DMAI models have either been converted on the AIG forums or converted well with Model Converter X (I have an easy tutorial on that in the "getting started in P3Dv4/5 thread) and work fine. Smoke effects by
FSMuseum and others are compatible with ANY AI model, you just slap them on in the aircraft.cfg in the [lights] section, adding them as the next number in line. The lights section on my DMAI Bac 1-11s looks like this:
[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=, 5=landing
//Wing strobes
light.0=2, -9.60, -44.99, 1.96, fx_strobeh
light.1=2, -9.60, 44.99, 1.96, fx_strobeh
//fuse strobes
light.2=2, 1.6, 0, 8.63, fx_beaconh
light.3=2, 7.2, -1.1, -2.8, fx_beaconh
//nav
light.4=3, -9.60, -44.99, 1.96, fx_navredh
light.5=3, -9.60, 44.99, 1.96, fx_navgreh
light.6=3, -9.60, -44.99, 1.56, fx_navred
light.7=3, -9.60, 44.99, 1.56, fx_navgre
//wing landing
//front landing
light.8 = 2, -2.50, -16.1, -1.6, fx_DC9smoke_left
light.9 = 2, -2.50, -16.1, -1.6, fx_DC9smoke_right
so light.8 was next in the sequence, so I added the effects as .8.
So basically, I'd say if its gone this long and no one has done a PBR conversion, it may still happen eventually but you'll be waiting a while unless you want to watch/read some tutorials and tackle it yourself. Not terribly hard at all, just a learning curve involved...though that said I've never bothered to learn myself.
Thank for your response I might be wrong, but I dont think chris34 smoke effects have been released to the public
