I'm not quite finished with this, but I've been getting a little restless so I figured I might as well post what I've got and add the rest when I finish that as well. I bought a set of ABC World Airways Guides last year and I haven't done what I've been meaning to do with them, largely because they're old, complex, and I'm a single man with not enough motivation or attention span to jot all this down into some text files to make world traffic. So instead, after getting mad at myself for accidentally tearing a page, I decided to document the entire timetable book as a PDF and release that for the public for everyone to utilize to make traffic. I have a soft spot for the 70s, and there's a surprising lack of early 70s coverage, especially right up before the oil crisis that put a damper on everyone's usage of 747s, so that's why I snagged a March 1973 book and would like to see it fit for use for everyone, as it's far more useful up online than sitting on my desk or in my closet gathering dust. It's not perfect, and you'll probably catch my fingers in there trying to hold the pages down for a good angle in some spots, but if you need any further documentation on a page, you're more than welcome to ask me here in this thread or in PMs. I've also included a couple pages from the red book at the beginning so you can use it as a reference for aircraft codes, airlines, and cross reference routes. LINK: mega.nz/file/7U9CFajb#scdhsNE9ErZqUHK7QLcdjORp1MSiQz6N0h8vAqpiHZgIf this gains some traction, I might get my hands on some Summer/Fall 1976 and Winter 1979 books and have those professionally scanned, but that's currently far too expensive of an endeavor for me to indulge in without a little bit of outside desire. Also a little bit of a warning, it's a 700mb PDF, and it might be a little slow to use. If there's interest I might upload a zip containing the separated 25 page increments adobe forces for text recognition on my free account.

Carl Interesting, what resources are you using? If you’re looking to get any ABC guides from eBay, I wouldn’t mind helping a bit. Was gonna put in my post that I’d be willing to take donations towards getting my hands on the 1976 and 1979 books to have scanned but decided against that.

ABC Guides, OAG's and Airline's timetables.
As a demonstration of how much work I have done so far - my current flight count (all compiled by myself!) is :
1975 - 16,500 flights 1979/80 - 35,700 flights 1983 - 97,500 flights 1996 - 9300 flights
I enjoy doing it as a hobby really. Love using the old MRAICompiler to make them. 1983 I have a lot of data minus a few airlines. 1979 I however have a lot of gaps, so would like to get my hands on an OAG from that season. I'm happy to share with you any airlines you are looking for. Most airlines are in various stages of completion, but my airports look relatively full. I have all the data copied into spreadsheets, and even annotated as to where the source of the data was!!

In general I use FS2004 for these old times (LGAT, ENFB and EDMR sceneries and most repaints available), UTC times all over the world and make them by hand. I made 79/80 from "Departed flights" that were sadly stopped halfway in my opinion with many Middle East, Asian, African and Latin American airports missing, even Brussels and Lisbon in Europe. I would appreciate those data. 1983 was taken from Brian in this forum. 1985/86 was taken from airline timetables, British Airports timetables and Air routes
Furthermore I have some OAGs and use Timetable Images (complete timetables), too.

The MRAI compiler is definitely better from my experience than trying to manually enter data through AIFP. I am personally trying to go for more worldwide AI compilations just for worldwide coverage out of the gate as opposed to adding airlines one at a time. One thing I would like to eventually do is get the raw data from the books to be manually scanned and implemented into MRAI timetables by a program but I do not have the coding knowledge to make something like that.

I have made Lisbon and much of the Middle East using timetable sources I have collated. Which airline timetables do you have from the 79/80 season out of interest? Maybe i can fill some of the gaps! I am happy to share my Flightplans file with you, however I do not wish to release it online at this stage. I decided not to use Brian's 83, not because I did not like it (he has done a fantastic job!) I just wanted the fun of making it myself and compiling the raw data into a spreadsheet to analyse and enjoy.

Interesting what schedules you guys have and use. I'm looking for a February 1983 schedule for a long time. I'm glad I got a February 1982 abc, as that was the year and month my mom came to Europe with Aeroflot. Might get into this or 1989, once MSFS2020 supports custom made ai traffic.
Kind regards.

this is excellent - I can finish this much easier now! The 1979/80 project is also well underway with new complete releases being added everyday.
