So a rather critical AI model for my 1968 environment exhibits unwanted behavior during taxi -- my FSX converted DW DC-8-10. The other DW DC-8s are fine. This one taxis slow, ignores taxiways and chooses to park wherever it wants to after passing through buildings. The bounding box looks to be intact in MCX. Is this an aircraft.cfg tweak of some kind?
Also -- when viewed, the default viewing distance seems to be about 100 times as far away as the standard default view for all other AI models.
Any help here is appreciated.
Thanks!
Alex

Going off what chrisP said, make sure the taxiways off the runway in question have hold-shorts. I’ve had this sorta thing happen when a lone taxiway is missing a hold-short node.

OK. I am new to this hobby and have not yet opened up the Pandora's box of AFCAD. What I have seen is that all other aircraft behave correctly and that at any given airport, the DC-8 will meander. My understanding of AFCAD is that it is airport specific rather than aircraft specific -- how would that affect only one single aircraft type and not all the others?. The answer causes me to conclude that every default FSX airport would be missing the hold short node? The United DC8 ended up parked on top of another plane when it spawned at BWI. Another (United) DC-8-10 landed, taxied to the exact position and actually went through both aircraft and into the terminal. Eastern, UTA and National, etc have all done the same thing at various times at different stations...
