Greetings,
I just came across a 1961 Capital Airlines schedule and am creating an AI flightplan from it. However, it calls for a B720. Did Capital, in fact, have these?? And, if so, has anybody created a paint scheme for one? I was unable to find any photos so I'm not sure what the correct answer might be. Thanks for any info..

Leased from United in the months leading up to the merger. They were always in United colors.
I suspect, though I can't be positive, that there weren't any specific aircraft assigned to the Capital flights - just whatever had downtime with United. The merger had already been announced in 1960 and was completed by June 1961.

Is the 720 provided by Calclassics the only AI 720 we have? I too have looked around for 720 liveries needed for some 1970s and 1980s plans with no luck (one private one needed for the 1998 Project too but I'd probably have to paint that myself).

The timetable I'm working with is June 1961 so pretty much answers my question and I agree that the UA B720s were probably used. Ergo, I seriously doubt, if any, were painted in a Capital scheme. Thank you for your input. Yup, using a UA B720 in the AI flightplans... .
