To Boldly Go What I've Never Done Before!

When I was testing my paints on EHAM/Schiphol, I noticed I had KLM Fokker 100's and KLM uk Fokker 100's flying around. In real live, by 1998 most of the KLM Fokker 100's moved over to KLM uk, so I thought: lets find a replacement. Althought the KLM never had any Boeing 737-500's, I find it to be a good replacement!?

Thanks for those paints. They're looking great. Maybe you would like to add the regular KLM Cityhopper Fokker 50 to the Package? I couldn't find any paint in that scheme (nor the newer mid-2000s cs) for the NAAI model.

Don't understand that you refer to real life and paint a fictious aircraft as a replacement.
Nice paints though.

I've started painting the KLM cityhopper fleet through the years. They will all be there. Also the Fokker 70.

In real life 1998, all of KLM Fokker 100's (except for PH-KLD+H) where transfered to KLM uk. So, for example, if you take Chasen's KLM and KLM uk flightplans, you have both company flying the exact same Fokker's, but with different registration numbers. So PH-KLC was flying for KLM uk in 1998 as G-UKFL, PH-KLE as G-UKFN, and so on...
I'm using both Chasen's flightplans and just for fun I wanted someting else for the KLM Fokker 100's. That's why I came up with the Boeing 737-500.

I thought the Fokker 100s all came from Air UK which became KLM UK and the Fokker 100s sat in the KLM fleet until going to Cityhopper later on, but I could be mistaken. Either way, the 737-500 does look cool in those colors. I can tell you another painter is working on some fantasy paints right now.

Before finishing the KLM cityhopper Fokker 50's (17 paints!), a small update for the KLM uk Fokker 50's.




The difference is in the 'Operating for' section above the Britsh flag.

The Fokker 50 flew with KLM cityhopper from 1990 till 2010. During those 2 decades, there where 3 different color schemes which I all included.
There are 2 zip files: one for 1998 and one for 1990-2010 (without 1998).

And there was the Fokker 70. I've painted the fleet till 2002 with the KLM / Northwest Airlines sticker on the aircraft.



As you can see, there is a small hint for whats to come...

WOW! So much more than I ever would have expected. Thank you so much for these. Didn't know about the British Midland hybrid. There are no paints of the 1990s Fokker 70s for British Midland, thank you for that!

I made both PH-KSD and PH-KSE to go with Chasen his FP's.
