The only thing missing is the fleet of Aeromexico, Mexicana, Taesa, Aviacsa and other Mexican airlines, I like the work Mike does! I admire what he does and he is appreciated. I think eduardo85 is working on a re-vamp/expansion of his original retro Mexico AI package from several years back. I'm curious to see where this has gone.

Awesome!!! Did not expect any of this, thank you so much. In the near future when AI is working in MSFS, I'm sure I'll be motivated to match all those 80s and 90s plans to your paints. So one thing here about AirCal for both you and Brian (as his use the same shades): The bottom stripe was purple like it is on the current retro livery and not brown. In all printed ads and photos, it looks brown. But Bay Area spotters all said when the AA 738 AirCal livery came out that the "pop" of the purple is just like how it stood out to the naked eye in the real AirCal days. This makes sense as on all the print ads I have physical copies of from collectible shows and friends, the text is purple and not brown in the logo. So these (photo) are actually the true-to life colors that film has shrowded over time: It'd be amazing to get a true color AirCal fleet for 80s California flying.

I drew my own stripes, but I color-matched to his. If (we) are wrong, I'll add it to a long and distinguished list of imperfections, lol.

I completely agree on that, apart from the pain of having multiple download sources and where to find them sometimes it's also clear that some paints of the same fleet and era do not come from the same place because of color-matching etc. Also I just had a rapid thought, do you plan on making the same treatment as AAL to your DAL fleet? The secret is out but I've planned on making some early-mid 2000's DAL 737-800's, 757's and 767/777's on the FSPX model color-matched to your FAIB 767's and Delta Connection CRJ's. I'll email you, and we can figure out a split point for our respective fleets. I was just getting photos today for DAL... [/quote] Thank you very much! But if you planned on making them now I'll pass my turn then haha, I still have a nice backlog of fleets in my to-do list (now that I'm done with Luxair I've already started to get pictures for the BWIA A340's).

Nice work on the AA repaints! Are the American Eagle CRJs next? I missed that one, just got pictures, I'll try to get this one done by Sunday. My time for nothing but painting during the holidays ended today, and I am neck-deep in another big fleet, one of the ones Nils and I talked about. Plus, I have some additional painting for PAA, COA, and MDW (Connection), so stuff will show up when it shows up this spring. :{)

So, I can't read a calendar, and I got an extra week off (last week). So, in the seven weeks since Thanksgiving, I have punched out the following, more or less complete, fleets....
Pan Am TWA American Airlines Continental Airlines American Airlines Midway Airlines
... all with their associated feeders and freighters where appropriate.
I just updated two COA files today, DC91 and 721 to add 1960s Golden Jets. COA 747s are still in process for some updates, so I didn't forget. AAE CRJs, they used CRJ7s in the early 2000s, but didn't get CRJ2s until around 2013, right before the livery change, but I will do them since the contemporary painters may not have yet, and on HD RFSL models to boot.
The other little thing I did today was upload 71 new files, I think a personal best for me on my own website. My one-day record on AVSIM was 132 files, but they took less than a minute each to upload, but I think I gave the duty library manager a heart attack, lol.
One huge and one medium airline are there now, and I'm not putting up all the pictures here, so go check them out on the website....
United Airlines to include Cargo, Shuttle, Express, the whole shebang, from 1960 to about 2011 when they absorbed COA and stole their (sterile corporate) livery. I was careful to not go any further than that because I don't want to trespass into the realm of the elite painters (did I say that?).
And, a rabbit hole project... In my quest to expand the fleets of FAIB 747 paints I have done in the past, I choked out LAN Chile, again to include Cargo and Express, 1960 to 2003-ish, right before the (final) pre-LATAM livery. That was 21 files of the 71.
The last new thing I put out today was the COAX BAe-146 in COA and Presidential hybrid colors.
Next on the slate is a partially-finished EAL fleet in the same spirit of these other big US carriers I have done. And, then, the last big fleet I didn't have time to address during winter break (DAL), but it will be as I get time to pick away at it this winter and spring, so it will be coming along with no timetable for now.
Have fun with it.
