Just a bump as I updated several airports in China. It would appear that many Chinese airports were opened or closed in the last 20-30 years as I uncover more. I'm very interested in doing ADEX sceneries for some of them, especially the old ZGGG/CAN airport which was about as and congested as a single runway airport smack in the middle of urban sprawl can get!

chasensfo: I would love to see a better scenery for this airport. The one that is out there is a start but needs a massive improvement. FlyTampa or Thai Creations would be great candidates for getting that airport fixed up. (considering their work in the region to begin with...)

I haven't found anything for the old CAN airport anywhere on line, searched around a bit. Link, please?

I run FS9 - I'm not sure if there is an FSX ZGGG/ZGG0 out there just yet...

Hey guys, just bumping this thread as I've added about 20 airports in the many months since this thread was last active. As this is a communal resource for all retro flightplanners, and one that will benefit from member inputs across this board, I request that we may make it a sticky in the proper section. That way it is easy to reference and add posts. The more of us who use it, the more accurate all our flightplans will be needing less editing.
Most airports I've added are in China and Southeast Asia, but a few were added in the USA and Europe, also.

Got a quick question for you all:
Does anyone have a good lead on where to find a semi - in-era KMDT Harrisburg or KGSO Greensboro sceneries? (Running FS9 over here.) Any help would be awesome!

Fairly major update, about 20 airports added bringing the list to 99 retro airports so far. Most of the airports added are in China, Vietnam, Brazil, or Southeast Asia.

Looking through this table, I want to say that Baghdad is not in Afghanistan, but in Iraq.

I've learned that the Moroni airport in the Comoros was replaced in recent years. Iconi Airport(YVA\FMCN) was replaced by Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport(HAH\FMCH) some time ago, as the old airport is mostly redevloped already via the latest satellite images. However, I have been unable to determine in what year this happened, oddly enough, as Wikipedia doesn't mention this information and I was unable to find a news article. Any information appreciated so that I may add FMCN to the list.
