I've made a couple flightplans regarding Kalitta/AIA in the 1990's. Something came out of my mind and I started searching for images and making charter flightplans for them, particularly for the L1011's... Flightplans are available at my box account, and for some time already. Take into account I used a few lines from Kalitta 1990 by gapeters (http://retroai.proboards.com/thread/1542/kalitta-1990) so part of credit goes for him. If anyone has a few schedules to add up, please, you are free to modify, these flightplans just went public, but let us know here Repaints are not available, yet.

These are GREAT!
I do see some little things though, please don't take this as undue criticism. I was a ramp rat for AIA in the Spring/Summer of 1999.
The only thing that really bothers me, for lack of a better term, is you have the Passenger L-1011 flying out of the Terre Haute hub and it wouldn't at least not as frequent as you have it.
Also some tips for those who may want to modify the plans. Most of the 727's flew to the East Coast. Most of the DC-8's flew West. Now there were a few exceptions. In the East the big exception was Newark, it was usually a DC-8-63 early in the week, by late in the week it was an L-1011. Also MIA was occasionally a DC-8-53. In the West the exceptions were SEA and MCI were 727s. SFO was -63, DEN was a -63 or -61, DFW was usually a -53, LAX was ALWAYS an L-1011 which then continued on to PHNL, and did the reverse back to HUF.
Now, during the Christmas season these things changed a bit. LAX/HNL was frequently a 747-100 late in the week. SFO was frequently an L-1011, about once or so a month it would be a 747-100. Also during the same season EWR became an L-1011, and occasional late week 747.
Also bear in mind during this time period AIA was a 4 day a week sort operation. The Sort was Monday-Thursday morning at KHUF. It wasn't until Late March-Early June 1999 that it went to a 5 day a week sort. Which was not very successful. As an example, typically Monday morning we would do about 650-800,000 pounds of Cargo, by Wednesday at the peak it was 1-1.5 million pounds, Thursdays would be just shy of 1 million pounds. At it's peak Friday mornings would see MAYBE 400,000 pounds. We would get a number of planes on Friday mornings that would land and we would just open the doors, i.e. a lot of empty planes.
Anyways, hope someone finds this useful.

Thanks for your feedback, Fitch. The only big issue with cargo airlines is, and that is what me and Peter are also encountering, the schedules are hard to get - if at all - and pricy and - this is most important - tend to be full of inaccuracies or errors. In fact, we are usually depending on stories and facts given by people like you who worked there, have or had ties to these companies or who sit at the source. I am very glad that you shared your facts with us. Kind regards.

Thank you so much fitch, and like stefan said, it's people like you who help this website moving I've just finished my semester so now I will have more time to start some "refurbishment" on my flight plans and also start new ones! AIA is just another of my attempt to get as many classic 747/tristars/727/DC8 into the FS world, and there's still much to be done, like UPS, FedEx and so on... I will always try to make something that still isn't done and bring it here Thanks again for the info!

I will look into doing some simple cargo scenery for KHUF. I've worked on several others too. KYIP is done - which was the MX base for Kalitta and a few other operators.

Christian,
Get with me when you start, I can help with the parking layout, as far as what parked where.
