Okay, ignore that, that was a PM to braniffops. I don't know what happened, except this dial-up connection is FUBARed sometimes. At any rate, the real post was to have said that due to delays in address changes related to my move and the card I pay for the site on propagating on the servers, there may be an interruption. But, everything is backed up and hopefully if there is a shutdown, it will be very brief. Just wanted to warn everyone in advance.

Phew.... you had me there...! I couldn't foresee what to do without RetroAI.
FS will most certainly be a very empty place.... (I have now filled almost half the 70's package into my FSX, and it has the greatest feeling over it....)
Please don't make post like this again, as I'm man of certain age, and only God know how long the old ticker will continue to handle chocks like this! :-)

Kris... You know better than to scare folks like that. We'll not have the entire staff going on heart meds before the holidays. Anyone seen that danged AFLAC duck runnin' 'round anywhere?

Well, I talked to Capital One's people in Bangalore, Afghanistan, Outer Mongolia, or wherever the hell they are since all the stateside jobs were outsourced overseas - the charges should process on Wednesday, so it doesn't look like there will be any worries. Just wanted to keep everyone apprised in case there was a shutdown and all of a sudden the site wasn't there with no explanation. BTW, this board is not on the same server, so if the download site is down, this board will remain up.

So, does it look like we might be in for a site update anytime soon?

So, does it look like we might be in for a site update anytime soon? In the works, started on converting the rest of the pages to the new format today before going out. I didn't get back in until about 11 pm, been gone since 8:30 am. I thought I'd be less busy than I have been, but it seems like I have little time. I'll be done with this temporary deal soon and then back in OKC for a short while before moving permanently. Once I get the headaches of looking for a new place and new job, and then moving, I'll have much more time. I'm not sure where I'll land, I love Oak Park, but I have my eye on a place on North Lake Shore Drive, just south of Lincoln Park. I don't know if that's still the Gold Coast, but who cares, it's still North Lake Shore Drive... ;D

As a Chicago native I can assure you that Lake effect snow rarely hits the North Shore since the lake effect produces snow on the east shore of said lake! However, North Lake Shore Drive can be one hellishly cold place on a cold January day with the wind whipping in from the North Pole across the frozen Lake. Also, very pricey.
Best wishes,
Andy

Best wishes, Andy It depends, many places above the 1000 block are well within my range - thanks to all the new construction in Streeterville and along the river and lake. Trump's new 92-floor monstrosity adjacent to the Wrigley Building is over 70% leased and it's not even half-built.
