One of the biggest obstacles I hear to older, classic aircraft becoming established in FSX is that they are not used much anymore, and it can be difficult to find realistic routes and schedules for them. That is why, for the past year, I have been creating this, a database tool with millions of flights and hundreds of airlines that will give users real flights, flight numbers, departure/arrival times, even registrations to use in their flights, from all sorts of different time periods in aviation. In an ideal world, I would like to have one set of schedules for each airline from each decade since 1950, and then schedules every two years since 2008 as well. Most of the modern airlines are up to date with full data sets for that second, modern era (AI traffic files are great sources). However, now I'm working on expanding, refining, and fleshing out the historical schedules, and need help getting time-table data for them.
As you can see I've built up quite a few, either using various AI traffic plans I've found, or made my own from time-table data. However, I'm getting near the point where I've pretty much found and used up most of what you can easily find online, and I need help finding more. So far I've been able to dig up quite a few at timetableimages and departed flights and aomd88's blog, but I think I've tapped out what I can find there. There seems to be a general lack of availability of timetables for 1975 and onward, at least what you can quickly find online. I've also been able to parse and use ai flightplans, although these can have some inaccuracies and problems from the compilation.
I would appreciate any help I could get in locating some of these, or for pointers towards the best way to obtain them. You can find several for sale on ebay and such as collectors items, but I only really care about the data within them as opposed to the physical copy.
