I love Daallo! I’ve seen that they’ve been based out of Djibouti and other sources say Somalia. To be honest, they probably had major offices/facilities in both countries. But talk about a fleet… I’ve got 15 or so aircraft flying for DAO, all of which are leases of leases, or sub-service from other carriers. Could you imagine the flight operations nightmare?

Jay Bee Charters B707-351B(SCD) N351SR, circa 1989. A charter airline doing charter stuff, I imagine. Photographed at KLAX, EGLF, and LFPB. They operated this 707 from September 1986 until December 1989. * uploaded

Too bad Burlington didn't care about N824BX. Sorry to hear.
For a time, BAX DC-8s seemed to be a staple of every large US airport.

Your rendition is way better. I made a cargo door for the CPAI Convair’s but wasn’t sure if I got the sizing right. Plus your weathering effects are superb. Shame the full BAX livery never made it on to a Convair IRL - woulda been handsome.

Shame the full BAX livery never made it on to a Convair IRL - woulda been handsome. Thank you, Christopher. I copied the cargo doors from one of the AIM DC-10 paintkits and shrunk it down. It took me forever to get it right somewhere in the neighborhood of realistic. The rear pax door also has some gigantic hinges, so I cobbled them in there, too. It appears that some -580s kept the rear pax door while others deleted it during conversion to -580F. I don’t think any left the Convair factory as Freighters.
