Hello,
Trying to download the 1980's flight-plans Hughes Air West. Is the main website down?? Trying to figure out if it's on my end or an issue with the site.
Regards, Rob

It must have been something on the server end of things, as I checked the site today, and it's fine. Either it was a fluke or you may have an incorrect URL:
Retroai.webatu.com
Don't capitalize the "R" that is an incorrectible error of the mobile board...

Yep, the link on the forum home page no longer works, but just Google retroai and you can get to the site. I hope you are well on the way to recovery, and look forward to the "hairy one's" return, LOL. Paul

Hi Kris, I just checked again and was not able to reach the web site. This is the url I am trying to use: retroai.webatu.com/I am at a loss....attempted to use two different browsers both with the same results. Here is the error msg from firefox. The connection has timed out The server at retroai.webatu.com is taking too long to respond. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. Internet explorer issues the same msg. Even called a friend of mine who lives in the southwest corner of the state who also follows retro ai and he could not connect either. The odd thing is I have no problem viewing the cached version of the web site. Regards, Rob

Hi Rob. Links posted here are still working for me (IE11). Someone does not like you Paul Hi Paul, Lol........appears to be so... UPDATE: Thought I would pass along an update to anyone that might be interested. After spending 1.5 hours on the phone with my internet service provider (AT&T), the problem appears to be with the hosting website, webatu/000webhost.com I am not a big fan of AT&T, but I have to give them credit for spending the amount of time they did looking into the issue. Apparently it is a noteworthy problem as I was constantly moved up the chain of command reaching someone that called themselves a tier 4 senior technician who "doesn't" take phone calls but was advised by a supervisor to handle this one. Long story short, even the supercomputers at AT&T were not able to access the retro ai site. Additionally, any website hosted by webatu.com/000webhost.com was not accessible. All the connections timed out without a response from the requested website. The tech stated he was dumfounded as the only possible answer for the denial of service across the webatu.com domain was the AT&T servers have been blocked by the hosting company. He stated he has never heard of this happening before but there is a first for everything. It was suggested I send an email (which I have done) to the hosting domain including a bunch of technical info AT&T provided to see if the issue can be sorted on their end. As of this posting I have yet to receive a response. On a side note, I was able to fully access the retroai website using a secure VPN routed through the UK. Interesting to say the least...... Regards, Rob

As a longtime IT engineer, the first rule of tech support is blame the problem on anyone but your comapny - the web host, the customer, invading Venutian Amazons, President Obama (PM Cameron for you Brits) - ANYONE BUT THE COMPANY. Frankly, this is BS and no ISP is above its problems. I clicked on the link rob provided and I get the site, I have CenturyLink DSL at home and I have only once called texh support when the wi-fi routher caved - go a drink or stoned (or both) Cajun in Shereveport who had me redo everything I'd aleady done. Trust me, "reboot and see if that fixes it" almost never does. Finally, bozo says he'll send a new router and it hadn't arrived in the time he said it would, so I called back - dumba** never put the order in! So, I don't take tech support all that seriously, you should have seen the mistakes I corrected when at Dell - no excuse but severe laziness, as it's not like a first-line tech does much more than follow a script, they don't have to think. Hell, a trained Chimp could do basic tech support and likely with fewer mistakes.
That said, I will look further into this, as I am not able to duplicate the error. We do have limited bandwidth due to it being a free host, but I will be switching back to a paid host and new URL soon.
**UPDATE**
I am able to duplicate the error on AT&T, but the site comes up on my Blackberry, I will look at it tomorrow on a Cox hookup. Either way, I will be moving the site on to a paid server next month. Thanks for understanding!
