And to answer your other statement - by 1970, most 240s had been converted or were private aircraft, with a few exceptions. There was one with Mey-Air of Norway, a couple former Alaska Coastal aircraft in service with Alaska Airlines, and an oddball with Aspen Airways. That said, I just bought an incredibly cheap Central Airlines timetable and since I love blue and orange together, it probably wouldn't take much convincing.  |

Absolutely superb Christian.
I have a tendency to forget about the Vanguard, though it was a great, albeit awkward looking, aircraft. It just showed up a little too late, but as a freight-hauler, stellar.

Looking forward to this bird. The "UK airport timetable" that I have (1986,1990,1991) show many Heralds, Electras and Vanguard on overnight mail and packet flights over the UK and even to Continental Europe.
On the other hand BEA and TCA/ACA used them in passenger service. Repaints of the 60s would be great (for the Convairs too).
By the way: in my sim the Viscounts develop very late into an airplane and look very clumsy until then. Anything to do about it?
