Here is what my next release will be: (Brought to you by Mr. Calleja - "Financed" by me.) (There is one that is a "what-if"... Guess which it is... There is one that is not shown that is a DC-9-41... plus, I put in an email to Mr. Calleja that Ghana and Meridiana FP's just came out. I may "finance" those next.)

Is TWA the odd one out?

Yes... However, they flew DC-9-41's and DC-9-51's right into the late-1990's and early 2000's - right when they would have painted them... (if they didn't run out of money... I think...)

Well, they had the 717 coming into the fleet anyway, so why paint the old DC-9s?
Were they in chapter 11 when they merged with AA?

Yes. TWA filed Chapter 11, and AA "purchased the assets of bankrupt TWA." So it wasn't technically a merger.

I figured it was something like that. Plus, I temporarily forgot about those 717's they got late in the game.

Here is a popular selection of AIG DC-9-50's straight off the line from the boys over at EndeavourAI. Produced by EndeavourAI (Antoine Calleja) and Financed by Christian Gold. Check out my Box Account for the files! (I have used and mooched off of this website for soooooooo long... I figured these would be a good pay back for all of the hard work that goes into this website.) Cheers, folks!

The TWA DC-9-40 and DC-9-50 are "what-if's." However, I loved the latest TWA livery and I was always curious what their DC-9's would have looked like in it. Use at your own discretion.

I do apologize... but after beta testing these, I've decided to pull them from my Box account. I see various errors with them - simple ones, but ones that are noticeable. I'll re-post them once they are fixed.

Ok... Now we all know why no-one released a public paintkit for this jet and we all now know why no-one was really painting anything on this model. It was never finished. The jets you see up at the top have all sorts of issues with where things lined up. However, through some software and through some wrench time on my part, I was able to fix some of these DC-9's to where they look decent. Check out my Box Account for the first release of DC-9-50's. More will make their way out the more I fiddle with them.

This is the AIG DC-9-50. The AIA has seen its replacement for a while now, but unfortunately its not really popular due to no publicity and "no paintkit." Mr. Calleja has a version. Here is more info on it: www.alpha-india.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=127&Itemid=226I have fiddled around with the Surinam jet and I am going to work on the others here soon. I was up all last night with military AI in Europe...

Thank you for shareing these files for free.. This is a really great contribution to the retroai world. I by myself ordered the boeing Birgenair fleet from the mid 90ies. I think i will also share them here. The only thing is that i do not have an box account. Do you think you can provide them via your box account?
regards Alex

Absolutely. Box.com is free to have up to a certain point, but I'll gladly host a hangar for them.
