I suggest that you post this at Calclassic, Tom will probably know the answer, but it looks like it could be a texture mapping issue to me. Paul |

Ok thanks. It almost seems that two faces of the model share a pixel or two of edge of the texture sheet. I'll move on to a different paint then!

I have been waiting for a good Dominicana DC-6 for that model...
The one that's out is quite ragged...
Talk to the boys over at CalClassic and they'll get it straightened out.

Well, it seems not that bad to me. What I want to say, is that no one will get that close to the plane in FS to note this issue. For me the paint is fine.  Kind regards. |

Hi,
I have a modified MDL file that may (or may not) fix this problem. I can send the MDL file (tell me which one you are using for this scheme), or let me know where this livery is available.

I had a similar issue when fixing some of the AIG DC-9-50's. Some of that is avoidable and sometimes it isn't. Maybe a tweaked model, in the DC-6's case, would cure this problem. |

Hi,
I tried the 2008 Dominicana textures from the web on the new models and it seems to display fine. The new models will be released at the next AI update, in a few weeks.

The "new models" are the ones I tweaked so this doesn't happen anymore. Nothing more than that. |

Fair enough... I do smell a Viscount in our future. I've seen some of the betas for it.  (I also have tested some other paints for it and I have them flying in my AI now. Atlantic Gulf and so on.) |
