hmmmm , I'm remembering that great book form a few years back called "Sky trucks" , and a particular chapter was all about the meat haulers in Bolivia. From looking at some of the paints available i think i could start to re-create this. Let me know if you hear anything about the C46 being added, there are some great paints for that.

Certianly... There are some Everts planes I need to replace. The old CalClassic C-46 is seeing its age.

Here is a tutorial-ish reminder: When you enter aircraft.cfg's to your AI DC-6's, Convair products, or Connies, do remember to change the title around just a little. For Example:
Flyable Entry: [fltsim.15] title=Douglas DC-6A St. Louis Air sim=dc6a model=spinner panel= sound= texture=sla kb_checklists= kb_reference=dc6b_ref atc_id= ui_manufacturer=Douglas ui_type=DC-6A ui_variation=St. Louis Air description=The DC-6A was generally considered to possess the best operating economics of any piston airliner built. Passengers also appreciated their smooth, quiet ride. United had 43 DC-6B's, and used them throughout their US system. atc_airline= atc_flight_number= atc_heavy=0 visual_damage=1 prop_anim_ratio=0.9
AI Entry:
[fltsim.24] title=AI DC-6A St. Louis Air <----- Notice name change. sim=Boeing737-400 model=spinnercargo_GP panel= sound= texture=sla checklists= description=The DC-6B was generally considered to possess the best operating economics of any piston airliner built. Passengers also appreciated their smooth, quiet ride. For AI Aircraft. ui_manufacturer=AI ui_type=Douglas DC-6A ui_variation=St. Louis Air atc_heavy=0 atc_id=N atc_airline= atc_parking_types=CARGO,RAMP atc_parking_codes= atc_flight_number=55 visual_damage=0 prop_anim_ratio=0.9
This way, the sim won't get confused and use the hi-polygon DC-6 rather than the LOD-ed AI version.

I saw that package before in the past... I think those are repaints for the older AI Douglas Big-Recip models... X-/

Everything looks got the Mackey texture to work on the AI model. Now all I need is Karair and Iscargo.

From what research I have done the guy who painted it has pulled all his paints and will not share them with anyone. Hopefully someone at CALClassic has them and will forward them to us.
