USAir = Unfortunately Still Allegheny In Reality Hadn't heard that one before. In the summer of '84, I had just completed 8th Grade and went on a school-sponsored trip to Washington, DC. We stayed at the old Twin Bridges Marriott, just across the Potomac from the city. It had a spectacular view of the flight path into National as it came down the river, past Arlington and then the hotel. That was planespotting at it's best - Piedmont, New York Air...all these airlines I'd never seen before. I was such a dork - all my friends were hot-tubbing it with girls and I'm hanging out on the balcony watching planes! THat IS pretty dorky. Planes are cool, but chicks are always numero uno... I know, I was kind of a latecomer there, but I've more than made up for it since ;D

"Airlines" was removed from the fuselage of the 737-200's in 1973, in 74' the newer paint scheme arrived.
