I know this has been discussed before, but I forgot the resolution. How do you stop the "see-through" appearance of some AI aircraft in bare metal areas?

If it's an Aardvark plane, specify the reflective model in the aircraft.cfg, otherwise, the alpha sets transparency instead of reflectivity. btw, thanks for the update - I'll Avsim my textures this week  |

Hi,
For other planes, you must have an _L texture along with the day texture. If you don't want it night lit, just make a small (32 x 32) black square and use that.

if it's an Aardvark plane _and_ you don't specify "model=reflective" (or something like that) _and_ you have a see-through, then it's definitely the problem.

send me the aircraft.cfg and I'll fix them for you. It dawned on me how I overcame this before, I removed the Alpha channel from the texture - but, I sent you a .cfg file to see if your fix is less time-consuming. |

Disregard the Ariana Boeing 727-100 problem I have managed to fix this one

kristopher: on that aircraft and with that repaint, keep the alpha and use the .cfg - it's worth it IMHO
