Thanks Chris! Really great pictures!
How did you catch the departing DC-8 and the approaching 1-11? Did you fly them yourself?
And where did you get the Czech Airlines Il-62? I'm still missing that one...
Kind regards!
Michael

DC-8 and 1-11: Just a spot view on my aircraft and a bunch of CTRL-W to shift the spot view from AI aircraft to AI aircaft. I'm DEFINITELY not that good a pilot to put it right on the money like that... CSA IL-62 (Samdim mdl) library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=24988I know it's a frames hog and SKJ's is much better, but there's no SKJ CSA IL62 and it doesn't hurt too much unless I go to Prague

Is it possible to get the Air Canada 747 from you

On the way... (and also uploaded to Avsim) This one is much better than the one on the screenshot - it was a "hasty" repaint I had made of the PAI 747-200 a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... The new one is for the AIA 741, color matched to the DC-8s, Illustrator logos and text, etc...

Now all we need is a Air Canada Boeing 727-233 in the old colors

ACA didn't have 727s in '74, so they're not in the flightplans

well im considering doing the whole AC fleet (DC9, D9S, 722, D8S, 747, L10) with the 64 black titles since many of them lasted into the mid 80s... maybe after i finish ALM/LIAT/Air Guadaloupe (my current projects)

ALM sounds good to me also even thought Air Camada had no 727 in 74 it would be nice to have one in the old colors

Island Time? Actually, it's always been my understanding that some airlines do that in order to meet international flights that operate on a weekly it semi-weekly basis. It still doesn't make a lot of sense, but that's how they do it, I guess - ran into the same thing with BWIA myself.
Christian - where did the CP DC-10 come from? And is that a Quebecair 727?

Yes, that's a Québecair 721: old CF-QBE herself about to take-off for CYQB (flight QB430) There are obviously schedules I don't submit. I wouldn't want to turn RetroAI into some kind of RetroQuébecAI with just a few foreign (from my point of view) carriers thrown in. There's a rumor that hijacking updates to this site is a Federal offense:) As for the CP DC-10: retroai.proboards104.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1171169972 ;D Exit runway when able Christian

Actually, I don't mind a focus on one region, as long as there's diversity. Quebecair with the 721 is appealing, as the schedule we have now has only the BAC 1-11 and F-27. Other smaller Canadian airlines of the era (NorOntair comes to mind, as I have a great shot of one of their Twotters in this wild orange and purple scheme that i've long thought would be a nice add) would be welcome. I'm almost done with Air Canada 1973, which differs only a bit from 1974 in that it still has Viscount operations to Val D'Or (other than Chisasibi, is also the only other place to see the Nordair DC-3) and out to the Maritimes.
