No Thank You sir! After I've done a couple of repaints I can now appreciate just how much time and effort it takes to do just one let alone 50 or 60. Best regards...Duncan

Hi Duncan. It´s a very nice paint. I love it! However, would it be possible to request the remaining paints in order to complete Qantas for the 1980´s? Here is what I would like to have: Qantas (late 80s): 747-200/-200M (747-200 and 747-200M with Pratt and Whittney and Rollce Roye engines)/-300/-SP, 767-200/-300 I would really appreciate it. Kind regards. -STEFAN-SUN_KING-

Been kind of quiet around here lately!
Now available at Flightsim.com are the RR powered pax and combi versions of the QANTAS 1984 scheme.
The filename is:qantas_rr_combi.zip
Enjoy!

Now available at Flightsim.com is the RR powered 747SP in the QANTAS 1984 scheme for the PAI v2 model. I really wish Aardvark made a SP AI model!
The filename is:qantas_sp_nc.zip
There is a 747-300 and 767-200 painted by other people on flightsim.com so I think that does it for 1984ish colors for QANTAS.
Happy Retro flying!

Hmmm, POSKY as an AI would look sweet. But wouln't it make a huge hit on the frame rate? I tried using some default DHC-8's for some AI once and it practically brought my computer to a standstill!
I'll tell you though it is annoying trying to make an accurate paint when the model your painting is not so accurate.
Best regards....Duncan

As I flew with VH-EBW on one of her last flights two years ago, isn´t it possible to request her? She has a very special meaning for me and was the only Airliner on which I shoot 200 photo´s (I love Classic 747s) on a single flight. On another note, you missed their PW 747-200 Combi´s somehow. Kind regards. -STEFAN-SUN_KING-

I don't think VH-ECA ever made it into the new scheme did it? In 1988 it was sold off to Air Canada after QANTAS decided to go Rolls Royce (the other two combi's CB and CC were RR while CA was a PW bird).
I think I'll be able to paint it up but I'm starting to see kangaroos in my sleep! ;D
Best regards....Duncan

I stumbled over this site: www.airfleets.net/flottecie/Qantas-history-b747.htmI din´t ever think that Qantas had 747-100´s, you? VH-ECA, was indeed out of service by 1988 and I couldn´t find photo´s of her carrying the NC from 1984. But, I found her: www.airliners.net/photo/Qantas-(Martinair-Holland)/Boeing-747-21AC-SCD/1068411/L/She would be of some use for my ongoing 1988-89 project. And no, this was a "constructive criticism" (as we say in ole Germany), not a complaint or anything to bring down your project. I am glad, that someone has done it, this always spurs me to go on with the input. Thank you for this and ..... maybe VH-EBW and PH-MCF.... Kind regards. -STEFAN-SUN_KING- PS: you´re lucky only seeing kangaroos in your dreams.... I see analysis and other thing from my studies...

Ah, so that's why you wanted to know VH-ECA's name. I suspected as much. Thanks very much for the repaints. I've downloaded them and will install them shortly. Cheers Kevin

Ohh, you did VH-EBW?! A very big and sincere Thanks from me! Thanks for doing the ship, I flew on in 2008 a mere two months before she was retired. Now, only a adequate 762 and 763 are missing to complete all. Flightplans are done and undergoing final tests as for now. Kind regards. -STEFAN-SUN_KING-
