Clearance delivery and ground are on the same frequency how do I correct this so they will be on different frequencies as this causes problems with traffic. Next question how do I force departures from runway 18 as I think I can get better traffic flow this way without inbound flight crossing the departure runway and being held up Maybe there is some kind of weather setting I can use to force runway 18 departures. Any help is appreciated

OK I have doine what you suggested but FS9 is overiding the closed runway there has to be a way to force take offs from runway 18. I have a Afcad for FS2002 that all departures are from runway 18 and it works great take offs do not interfier with landing traffice and the flow is very good. If its one thing I can not stand its an aircraft dissapearing because it has to wait so long to move.

If there's an override, that's probably bcz you're using an add-on scenery. You can assign your AFCAD (it's probably in Addon Scenery/Scenery) a higher priority (rank) with the scenery manager and make it load on top of the addon..

Hi,
Runways have to be within 7 degrees of runway 18 to be considered parallel (and thus closeable). If they are greater than that, then FS will override your closure, depending on wind direction.
Hope this helps,

Well I was able to force runway 18 Departures buy putting a heavy south wind in. But now we have the next problem. Landings are now being done on runway 18 and I need to have landing traffic on runway 25 or 7 is there a fix for this

Are you using any particular add-on or are we talking about the stock EDDF?

I was talking about the scenery, not the afcad

Aha!! I knew I had seen it somewhere before!
In short (and that fits in nicely with Tom's point about the rwy heading differences), the trick is to make fake closed runways with headings compatible with your infamous rw18...
In much plainer English, see that thread/tutorial from PAI: [http]http://www.projectai.com/discuss/index.php?PHPSESSID=8a2612d6adff18243cdc7b4e336d8933&topic=20325.0[/http]
That's how I activated 10/28 at CYUL.
Exit runway (18) when able
