Hi All
Being Danish I would like to see some more schedules from European airliners from the sixties/seventies.
In the sixties there seem to be an overweight of American airliners, and even in the seventies, the most part are from outside Europe.
I know these schedules can be very hard to get, but it would sure please me, if we got some more non-USA airliners in especially these periods.

I hope to have Air France 1975 ready within the next few weeks. After that I'll be doing Aer LIngus 1975.

ah great news!, My FS is now filled with oldtimers, and any sign of an airbus other than A300 is gone :-)

Dan,
The balance weighing towards U.S.-flagged carriers is really a reflection of the fact that most of us in the group live in the U.S. - I believe Paul is our only European. It's not intentional, it's just the way things have worked out. Myself, as the ostensible head of the group, would like to see more diversity in the offered schedules, but I am at the mercy of the contributions. I don't have any vintage non-U.S. timetables to work from, so I rely on what others have and are willing to contribute. The bulk of my planespotting as a kid was living under the approach path to Frankfurt-Main while my father was stationed at Gelnhausen, West Germany with the U.S. Army - I'd love to restore all that traffic I remember watching from our front yard. It's a slow process to compile these schedules, and we do need the original source material. If you have some old timetables but don't no how to code for AI, by all means send us scans and one of us can work it up.

I thought I had submitted my Finnair 1975. I guess not. I'll send it along.

Dear All
Having been lurking around for some months now, I was on the point of submitting the first of a collection of European and World AI schedules based on the Winter 1966/67 period, so having just seen this post I had better get on with it !
Complete and about to be submitted I have Swissair, Sabena and Pan Am. Complete [ subject to final editing ] I have done Air France, Air Inter, UTA [ includes some Air Afrique] , Olympic, Alitalia and ATI, Malev, MEA, TWA, PSA and Qantas. Hopefully there will be more to come.
One problem is the need for quite a few repaints - are there some experts out there who can help ??!

Great! I enjoy flying in the 1960's because of the variety of aircraft: piston, turboprop, jet. But I haven't been able to due to the lack of ai traffic.
For my part, go ahead and submit even with some re-paints missing!

Unfortunately, neither site is very good with providing the actual schedules. They are good, however, for providing logos and type styles, which I've used on repaints before.

I agree in general. But especially the www.timetableimages.com site has a lot of obscure airlines listed. Sometimes their entire timetable is only a page or two and the site provides a picture of it. These could be coded and added to our database. As an example, Colordao Airlines 1978 is shown with its entire schedule on a 2-page spread. Of course, repaints may be a problem for obscure airlines.

I would really like to give www.timetableimages.com/ a plug I have been in contact with the person who runs this web site and asked him if I could get some scans of old timetables granted they were small airlines He e mailed me that he would gladly help out I had the scans the following day. So thanks to this web site and its owner we will have from the early 1980s Ariana,Uganda.Somali, Air Zaire and LAP Paraguay. I hope to have these completed before Easter along with Mohawk 1971. Also I am bidding on a Lufthansa summer 1984 timetable which I am confident I will win I will also do this one up.

While we are plugging... www.airtimes.com/ has got quite an impressive vault of cover images but no interiors. www.airlinetimetables.com/ Has anyone bought anything from this guy? He seems to have quite a good collection and many of them at low prices. Price always includes shipping (within USA). Has anyone been to the airline museum in Kansas City? I was there some years ago and was just about in heaven. I was amazed that they just turned me loose on the tarmac to crawl around on the Conny and the Martin 4-0-4 (the c-pits were blocked off, naturally but you could see in quite clearly). The DC-3 was not on display that day. I have since heard that the Conny is grounded due to mechanical issues. Sure hope they get it up in the air again. At the time I was living in Springfield, MO and there was a small chance of a move to KC, I vowed I would volunteer to work at the museum if I moved there. I ended up moving to St. Louis instead. I think I heard the museum has been completely re-modeled or moved to the other side of the Downtown Airport (KMKC).
