As you've probably seen if you've watched any of the major news outlets over the weekend - we're socked in here. So, I figured I'd get caught up as best I could. The roads here are still bad once you get off the Emergency Snow Routes - I can't remember the last time OKC was paralyzed like this, usually it's just a day or two and it melts. I've been planning on taking a short sabbatical (I'll stay in touch, tho), but I couldn't leave Friday because of this. I'm shooting for this Friday, but now they are predicting 3-6" of snow over the weekend, and this mess we have now will not melt by then. Hopefully, I'll get out Friday morning before the next pounding moves in late Friday/early Saturday. I might be able to work up a Laker DC-10, the only thing really tough about that scheme is the "Skytrain" logo, but if I can get a good photo I can work with, should be no problem.

I worked for AA in Tulsa and had to deal with that city's hills - I lived on a 100-foot-tall one. It wasn't much of a problem for my front-wheel-drive Cavalier. I have plenty of ice stories - crawling over center consoles, kicking the door open from inside. Standing on the ramp late at night in freezing conditions - none of it's new. My car just doesn't like to go out on ice.
