This is the old (British) Westward Airways which pioneered the Gatwick-Heathrow shuttle, not it's (Lands End) successor, or the American one. Preferably on the HTAI Islander. The livery is unusual in having telephone numbers on the top wing:- www.airpixbycaz.co.uk/cazsite/aviation/airlines/balp/balp15.htmlI can also supply a colour side view which shows the wording on the fin.

Hi John. I remember that LGW to LHR airlink. Quite a rare photo as there is no Air London Beagle 206 in view Now we need some Trader Airways Mystere 20's! Had a look a Caz's site. Brings back a lot of memories, although a lot of his captions are in error. N11SR was an L.1049G and not a L1649A. I saw it arriving at LGW, and was at Biggin on the Saturday when it blew an engine on a flypast and limped back to the wick on three. Gone, but will never be forgotten
