Im sure this one isnt unexpected. Ive decided to skip the artsy gradient preview until I get all the issues sorted and the paint is perfect and ready for release. This paint took far far longer than it should have. Mainly owing to getting the "air wisconsin" titles right. I tried about 10 different fonts, only to discover the best match was................arial! Issues: I still need to find logos for the engines, at first I thought it was just a darkened P&W eagle logo which it looks like in most photos, but then I saw this photograph: www.airliners.net/open.file/0004562/L/I dont recognize that logo at all. Any ideas as to which logo to use? If no-one knows ill just stick with the P&W eagle since at that scale its not really recognizable anyway. I tried a different orange for this paint, then applied it to the 146 (visible in my last preview shot) does it look better than the darker orange on the initial 146 shots? The registration isnt in the right place. Im not sure if this is a paintkit error where the door isnt tall enough, or that I got the orange stripe wrong. Not sure if the panel lines need toned down or not. Ralf painted a Dash 7 recently I saw, did you do anything to the panel lines layer ? (I take it we are using the same paintkit) Any other comments would be much appreciated ;D

I used the paint kit by Dave Finney, it is the only one available for the v2 model. Panel lines, dirt layers, shadow layers etc always look different with different paintschemes so I change opacy most of the time. I toned panel lines and dirt down a lot for the Pan Am Express repaint. Sorry for not answering your questions about the colours, this is the most difficult part of painting for me and I think I'm not an expert in picking colours. The repaint looks very good so far and I like this model, even if it's an old one.

Nice paint Elliot. The panel lines are way to bold though. As Jason has said turn the transpancy down in multiply mode and then they will be lighter. Ariel......... No I wonder where I have heard that before!! Paul
