First paints in whats going to be ALOT of BMA painting for me: Few things: I cant paint the registrations under the wings due to the way the aardvark model mirrors one wing texture The paintkit isnt exactly perfect so a few things (Glare shiled and cheatline) dont line up the way they did on the real thing. Only solution would be to move the window textures up a bit but im sure that would add to more complications. Im still not 100% happy with the registrations, but unless someone gives me the correct font I cant be bothered hunting for it anymore. Also, on a few photos there seems to be a dark area around where the rear stairs emerge. www.airliners.net/open.file/0230693/L/ Havent painted that due to lack of photographic references. Only discovered just after I had painted the DC-9-10 that Paul had already done one, sorry about that. Anyway, comments and suggestions for improvements would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Elliot.
None of the paint kits are exact so you have to do the best you can.
As for the registration, just find a font that's close and go with that. By the time its compressed into the BMP its not so sharp anymore so its nothing to loose sleep over.
The AIA DC-9 paint kits are rather.... well bad by modern standards and the bird really shows her age now.
About the rear under door area.
If you decide to paint it all you can try and do is mark a dark zone due to getting into the texture stretching zone. Its best to leave it bare.
Looking forward to seeing BMA.
Paul

Thanks for the comments guys, Ill maybe take another look at the registration at some point. Im going to paint the later Dark blue scheme to go with the 87/88 plans im working on then release them in packs by series.
Another thing I forgot to mention, in some photos it looks like the horizontal stabiliser is painted the same colour as the dark blue stripe on the fuselage. Can anyone offer me an opinion as to whether this is the case or just a lighting thing?
